A wooden display cabinet in solid teak, hand-carved by master Indian artisans and finished in a walnut tone with silver-gold accents. It suits a living room or study where you want the cabinet itself to read as timber, not as painted furniture.

Two glazed doors run nearly the full height, framed in carved timber and hung on a central meeting stile. Inside, four glass shelves are supported on concealed fittings, and the shelf spacing is set with you so your tallest pieces sit comfortably.

The lower part of each door carries a solid panel with foliate work, which gives the cabinet a base and stops the contents from being on show right down to the floor.

The shaped sides curve out into carved scroll feet, and matching carving runs up the front corner posts. The cornice is shaped rather than square, and a carved cartouche sits at its centre.

Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

On a painted cabinet, any board will do. On this one, the boards are chosen before anything else happens.

The two doors sit side by side with only a narrow meeting stile between them, so their grain is read as one image. If the two panels come from unrelated boards, the eye sees a join. If they come from adjacent boards in the same log, opened out like the pages of a book, the figure runs across the pair and the eye sees a single surface interrupted by a line.

So our artisans lay out the timber for the doors first, before the carcass is even jointed. Boards are set out on the bench, turned, paired, and rejected until a pair is found whose figure meets correctly at the centre. Only then is the wood cut to door size, and the offcuts from those same boards go to the lower panels so the cabinet stays consistent from top to bottom.

The carving is set out afterwards to suit the figure, not before. Where the grain is busiest, the carving is kept quiet.

Material: solid teak in the carcass, doors, panels, corner posts, cornice and feet.

Doors: two full-height glazed doors with solid figured panels to the lower section, hung on a central meeting stile.

Interior: four glass shelves on concealed supports, pale finished back and sides so light carries down through the cabinet.

Sides: shaped and swept, glazed or solid to your choice, sweeping into carved scroll feet.

Carving: foliate scrollwork on the lower panels, carved corner posts, shaped cornice with a central carved cartouche.

Finish: deep walnut-tone polish over the teak, with silver-gold applied by hand to the carved work.

Made to order: height, width, depth, shelf count and spacing, door configuration and finish tone are all customisable. Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

A polished timber cabinet marks differently from a painted one - a scuff shows in the sheen rather than in the colour - so the outer surfaces are treated as the priority here.

The whole polished body is wrapped first in acid-free tissue, so nothing textured ever sits directly against the finish, then in foam sheet, then in bubble wrap, with additional foam padding along the shaped sides where the curve projects.

Both glazed doors are unhung and crated flat. Each pane is taped across its face and sleeved in foam, and the door frames are wrapped separately from the glass.

Glass shelves travel in their own slotted box with foam between them, and the carved scroll feet and cornice cartouche are individually blocked in foam.

The crate is hardwood with corner protection at every arris and clear orientation and lift markings. Multi-layer protective packaging is standard on every order, at no extra cost.

Free delivery anywhere in India, with dent-free arrival guaranteed. There is no distance charge and no handling fee.

Production starts once your dimensions are confirmed in writing. Because the door timber has to be selected and paired before the build begins, we send you a photograph of the chosen boards as well as progress images of your actual cabinet through carving, polishing and glazing.

The cabinet arrives with its doors crated separately, which keeps the weight down and the profile narrow on the way in. Our team places and levels the carcass first, then hangs the doors, then fits the glass shelves - so the shelves go in only once the cabinet is standing exactly where it will live.

Send us lift dimensions, stair turns and door widths before dispatch so we can plan the approach. Every photograph on this page shows the actual product, not a render.

The solid teak frame and joinery carry a 20-year warranty. On a cabinet like this - tall, narrow and glazed - the frame is what keeps the doors closing evenly, so it is the part worth guaranteeing for that long.

Running alongside it is a lifetime warranty against termite damage, with no expiry. Teak's own oils are its first line of defence, and our warranty is the second.

Glass, shelves, shelf supports and hardware are covered against manufacturing defect. The walnut-tone polish and the hand-applied silver-gold are recorded against your order, so if you ever want a section refreshed we can match the exact finish rather than approximate it.
