A hall showcase in solid teak, hand-made by master Indian artisans, finished in honey tone with gilded detail.

Three glazed doors run across the front under an arched top, with a gilded scroll frieze along the head and fluted columns at both outer corners.

Inside, glass shelves run the full width of the cabinet at every level, on concealed supports, with the spans broken at the door divisions so each length of glass carries a sensible load. The back is lined in patterned cloth.

The cabinet is designed for real use - a full dinner service, tea sets, serving dishes - rather than for a handful of display pieces, so the shelf heights are set with you around what you actually own.

It stands on a moulded plinth with small turned feet, and the arched apron below the doors carries a carved gilt motif at its centre.

Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Most display cabinets hold ornaments. This one is expected to hold crockery, and crockery is heavy in a way that changes how the shelves have to be built.

A stack of twelve dinner plates concentrates real weight onto a small area, and a shelf loaded that way will bend long before it breaks. Glass does not fail dramatically here - it sags. The sag is slight, but a shelf in a lit cabinet is seen against a horizontal line, and even a small curve in a shelf that should be straight is obvious once you have noticed it.

So two things are done at the design stage. The shelf glass is specified thicker than it would be for a lightly loaded display cabinet, and the spans are broken: each shelf runs between the carcass side and a door division rather than crossing the whole cabinet in one unsupported length. Three shorter shelves in place of one long one, at every level.

Then we ask what you intend to keep in it, because a cabinet for tea services needs different shelf spacings from a cabinet for platters, and both are easier to decide before the supports go in than after.

Material: solid teak in the carcass, door frames, columns, arched top, apron and plinth.

Doors: three glazed doors with polished frames and tassel pulls.

Columns: fluted half-columns at the outer corners with gilded capitals and bases.

Interior: glass shelves specified for loaded crockery, with spans broken at the door divisions, on concealed supports; patterned cloth lined back.

Top: arched cornice with a gilded scroll frieze beneath it.

Base: arched apron with a carved gilt centre motif, on a moulded plinth with turned feet.

Finish: honey tone over teak with figured side panels and hand-applied gilding on the frieze, capitals and centre motif.

Made to order: height, width, depth, door count, shelf spacing, lining and finish are all customisable. Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Shelf glass for a cabinet like this is thicker and heavier than ordinary display glass, so it is crated on its own rather than packed with the cabinet, in a slotted box with foam dividers between every sheet.

The three doors are unhung and crated flat, panes taped across the face and foam-sleeved apart from the frames.

The cloth lining panels are removed and packed flat in a sealed sleeve so nothing rubs the fabric.

The carcass is wrapped in acid-free tissue against the polished honey finish, then foam sheet, then bubble wrap, with additional padding along the fluted columns and the gilded frieze, where the raised work is exposed.

The turned feet and the carved apron motif are given individual foam blocking.

All crates are hardwood with corner protection at every arris and clear orientation and lift markings. Multi-layer protective packaging is included on every order at no extra cost.

Delivery is free anywhere in India, with guaranteed dent-free arrival. There is no distance charge, no size charge and no handling fee.

Production begins once your dimensions and your shelf spacings are confirmed in writing - and on this cabinet we ask what you intend to keep in it before those spacings are set. We photograph your actual showcase as it goes: carcass, columns and frieze, polishing, gilding and the glazed cabinet complete.

On site, our team places and levels the cabinet, fits the lining panels, hangs the doors and installs the glass shelves in their agreed positions.

Send us lift dimensions, stair turns and doorway widths before dispatch so the route can be planned. Every photograph on this page is of the actual product, not a render.

The solid teak frame and joinery carry a 20-year warranty - the carcass, the door frames, the columns, the arched top, the apron and the plinth, along with every joint between them.

A lifetime warranty against termite damage runs with the showcase and never expires. Teak's natural oils are its own protection and our warranty stands behind them.

Glass, shelves, shelf supports and hardware are covered against manufacturing defect. Shelf specifications for your cabinet - thickness, span and support positions - are recorded, so any replacement shelf is made to carry the same load as the original.

The cloth lining sits on removable panels and can be renewed later in a different fabric. The honey finish and the gilding are logged against your order for exact matching. Contact us with your order number and we will arrange it.
