This is a white centre table in hand-carved solid teak, made to order in the size you need. A pale finish is the reason to choose it - a table this heavily carved would dominate a room in dark timber, and in ivory it reads as light while keeping every bit of the detail.

Master Indian artisans carve the structure by hand from seasoned solid teak. The serpentine outline is cut from solid stock rather than bent, the fluted columns are turned and then carved, and the friezes are worked as continuous runs around each shaped face before being gilded.

All three finish tones are yours to choose, along with every dimension. Custom sizes are made to order and final measurements are confirmed in writing before production. It comes with a 20-year warranty on the teak frame and joinery, a lifetime warranty against termite damage, free PAN-India delivery with guaranteed dent-free arrival, and multi-layer protective packaging.

Three finishes on one piece means the order of work is fixed before anything is applied, and it cannot be changed halfway.

Gold goes on last. That is not a preference - it is a constraint. Gilded surfaces cannot be masked over: adhesive tape lifts leaf, and any solvent used to clean an overspill dulls the burnish permanently. So every other colour has to be finished, cured and protected before the first leaf is laid.

The ivory goes on first, because it is the lightest and the most easily contaminated - a speck of green or gold dust settling into wet ivory will show forever. Then the green marbled work, which is done wet and blended by hand, and which needs the ivory around it already hard so any overrun can be cut back cleanly.

Only then are the friezes, mouldings and feet gilded, working outward from the middle of each run so the gilder is never reaching across finished gold.

Get the sequence wrong and there is no recovery - you cannot un-gild a moulding to repaint the panel behind it. On a piece like this the schedule is as much a part of the craft as the carving.

Structure: solid teak throughout, hand-carved and hand-turned by master Indian artisans, with traditional joinery at every junction.

Top: shaped serpentine outline with a gilded medallion at the centre and banded borders.

Sides: shaped panels divided by fluted columns, with carved friezes above and below.

Feet: carved acanthus scroll feet, gilded.

Finish: three-tone hand finish - ivory body, green marbled columns and banding, gilded friezes and mouldings. All three tones are set by you, and a single-tone finish is also available.

Size: custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Photography: images on this page are of the actual product, not renders.

An ivory finish shows marks that a dark polish would hide, and gilding sits proud of it, so nothing rigid is allowed to touch this table anywhere.

A soft non-abrasive layer goes over every surface first, laid smoothly with no folds. The gilded friezes and mouldings get continuous foam strips along their runs, and the scroll feet - which stand widest and lowest - get deep individual collars.

The fluted columns are sleeved along their height, and a rigid panel is fitted over the shaped top, bearing on its border rather than on the central medallion. Corrugated panels then build a rigid shell around the table, the base is blocked and braced, and the outer carton is edge-reinforced so stacked weight in transit is carried by the packaging. Everything unwraps by hand, no blades needed.

Free PAN-India delivery is included in the price - no zone rates, no distance surcharge, no freight line at checkout. The table costs the same delivered to Udaipur as to Ujjain.

Dent-free arrival is guaranteed. It leaves in multi-layer protective packaging, travels with handlers briefed on pale painted and gilded finishes, and is checked at every transfer point. If anything is not right when you open it, tell us and we make it right - the guarantee sits with us, not with the transporter.

Because the table is made to order, production begins once your size and the three finish tones are confirmed in writing. A multi-tone finish is applied in a fixed sequence with curing time between stages, so we give you a realistic timeline rather than an optimistic one, and send a dispatch note with an expected delivery window.

The solid teak structure and its joinery carry a 20-year warranty - the shaped body, the columns, the frieze rails and the joints where the scroll feet meet the base. If a joint opens or a member fails within those twenty years, we repair or replace it.

A lifetime warranty against termite damage runs alongside it and never expires. Teak's natural oils are what termites avoid, and our seasoning and finishing routine is built around preserving them, so the timber is guaranteed for as long as the table is yours.

A pale finish makes the timber underneath more important, not less: any movement in the wood shows as a crack line through a painted surface far more readily than through a dark polish. That is what a twenty-year term on the frame is written for. All of it is built from start to finish in our own workshop by the master Indian artisans who make everything we sell, from timber we season ourselves.
