This is a square coffee table in hand-carved solid teak, made to order in the size you need. A square suits a square seating arrangement - two sofas facing each other, or an L-shape - where a long rectangle would run past the end of one side and leave the other unserved.

Master Indian artisans build and carve it by hand from seasoned solid teak. The apron is pierced right through rather than carved in relief, which is what keeps a table this deep from reading as a solid block, and each splayed support is shaped from a thick solid blank.

Every dimension and the finish are yours to set. Custom sizes are made to order and final measurements are confirmed in writing before production. It comes with a 20-year warranty on the teak frame and joinery, a lifetime warranty against termite damage, free PAN-India delivery with guaranteed dent-free arrival, and multi-layer protective packaging.

The four supports on this table lean outward, and that splay is what makes it steady - and what makes its joints work hardest.

A vertical leg simply carries weight downward. A splayed one does two things at once: it spreads the footprint, which is why the table resists being pushed over, but it also pulls at the top of its own joint every time weight goes on the table. The load pushes down through the leg, the leg leans outward, and the top of the joint is levered open. It is the reason so many splay-legged tables end up with a gap at the top of the leg after a few years.

The answer is not more glue. It is a bigger shoulder: the joint at the top of each support is made deep front to back, and blocked behind with a shaped haunch that runs up under the top and resists the lever directly. The glue holds; the block does the work.

None of it is visible once the apron is on. What you see is a table that has stood on splayed legs for twenty years with its corners still tight.

Structure: solid teak throughout, hand-carved by master Indian artisans, with traditional joinery at every junction.

Top: patterned pale panel inside a polished timber border and a gilded outer rim.

Apron: deep pierced scrolling foliage cut through on all four sides.

Supports: four broad concave splayed corner supports, shaped from thick solid blanks and blocked behind at the top joints.

Finish: hand-applied gold with a polished timber border. Silver, champagne, antiqued tones or plain polished teak are also available.

Size: custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Photography: images on this page are of the actual product, not renders.

The pierced apron is the fragile element and it runs continuously around all four sides, so it is supported from inside as well as out.

Foam is fitted into the larger openings so the carved bridges cannot flex, and a continuous foam strip covers each face outward of that. The splayed supports reach beyond the line of the top at floor level, which makes their feet the first thing to meet a doorframe - each gets a deep shaped collar.

A soft non-abrasive layer covers all the gilded surfaces first, laid smoothly with no folds. A rigid panel is fitted over the top, bearing on the gilded rim rather than the patterned field. Corrugated panels build a rigid shell, the base is blocked and braced, and the outer carton is edge-reinforced so stacked weight in transit is carried by the packaging. Everything unwraps by hand.

Free PAN-India delivery is included in the price - no zone rates, no distance surcharge, no freight line at checkout. The table costs the same delivered to Ambala as to Alappuzha.

Dent-free arrival is guaranteed. It leaves in multi-layer protective packaging, travels with handlers briefed on pierced and gilded carving, and is checked at every transfer point. If anything is not right when you open it, tell us and we make it right - the guarantee sits with us, not with the transporter.

Because the table is made to order, production begins once your size and finish are confirmed in writing. A pierced apron is slow work - every opening is cut and then carved - so we give you a realistic timeline rather than an optimistic one, and send a dispatch note with an expected delivery window.

The solid teak structure and its joinery carry a 20-year warranty - the top and its frame, the pierced apron rails, and the splayed supports with the blocked joints at their heads. If a joint opens or a member fails within those twenty years, we repair or replace it.

A lifetime warranty against termite damage runs alongside it and never expires. Teak's natural oils are what termites avoid, and our seasoning and finishing routine is built around preserving them, so the timber is guaranteed for as long as the table is yours.

Splayed supports are the classic long-term weakness in a table of this shape, which is exactly why they are built the way they are here and why the warranty runs as long as it does. All of it is made from start to finish in our own workshop by the master Indian artisans who build everything we sell, from timber we season ourselves.
