A two door showcase is the size that fits an apartment, a landing, a study or a corner of a dining room - enough glass to display properly without giving up a whole wall.

This one is solid teak, hand-carved by master Indian artisans, finished in ivory with gilded carving. Glazed arched doors, glazed side returns, glass shelves, mesh panels below and carved cabriole legs.

The mesh panels do two things: they give the lower doors pattern where plain glass would show the shelf supports, and they let air move through the cabinet.

Every showcase is made to order and fully customisable. Width, height, depth, shelf spacing, mesh or glazed lower panels, lighting, back treatment and finish are all specified by you, with dimensions confirmed in writing before production.

The solid teak carcass and joinery carry a 20-year warranty plus lifetime cover against termite damage. Delivery is free anywhere in India, guaranteed dent-free.

A tall narrow cabinet standing on legs is the most demanding stability problem in a house, and the design has to answer it rather than the owner.

Height above a small footprint raises the centre of gravity. Fill it with glass shelves and glassware and most of the added weight goes into the upper half. Then someone opens a door - which swings mass outward beyond the front legs - and reaches to the top shelf.

Our master Indian artisans build the answer in rather than relying on care. The carcass is drawn with generous depth relative to its width, because depth front-to-back is what resists tipping forward. The heaviest structure - the base frame, the apron, the leg blocks - is concentrated low, and the cornice above is kept as light as its appearance allows. The legs are splayed very slightly outward at the front rather than standing vertical, which widens the effective footprint without looking like it.

And every cabinet of this proportion is supplied with a discreet wall restraint, fitted at the back where nothing shows. We would rather build the security in and never have it needed than leave it as something for the owner to think about.

Material: solid teak carcass, doors and frame, hand-carved. No veneer, no engineered board.

Configuration: two glazed doors with arched heads, glazed side returns, decorative mesh panels in the lower doors within carved surrounds.

Stability: generous carcass depth relative to width, weight concentrated low, front legs slightly splayed; discreet wall restraint supplied and fitted at the back.

Interior: glass shelves with spacing to your requirement; adjustable supports available; interior lighting available; back in mirror, glass or panelled timber to choice; interior finished to show standard.

Carving and finish: carved gilded crest, shaped cornice, carved apron, carved cabriole legs; ivory ground with gilded carving, sealed for durability.

Sizes: custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Warranty: 20 years on the solid teak carcass and joinery; lifetime cover against termite damage.

Slender carved legs are the most vulnerable part of a cabinet like this in transit - they project, they are narrow, and they carry the whole weight when the crate is set down. Each leg is wrapped along its full length and given shaped protection at its foot and at the joint into the base.

Glass shelves travel out of the cabinet, laid flat, interleaved and edge-guarded.

Glazed doors are secured closed, braced and protected across each pane; the side return panes stay in their housings under shaped support. Mesh panels are protected from any pressure that could dish them.

A soft, clean non-abrasive layer goes against the ivory ground first, and the gilded crest and carved apron receive individually shaped protection.

The carcass enters a rigid outer crate with cushioning, corner protection and strapping. This is why dent-free arrival is guaranteed.

Delivery is free across India - no freight charge, no distance surcharge, and no difference between a metro address and a smaller town.

Because every showcase is made to order, we confirm your finished dimensions, your shelf layout and your access dimensions in writing before production begins. A cabinet of this size normally passes through ordinary doorways without difficulty.

Once complete it is packed as described and dispatched with a carrier used to handling carved furniture and glass. You are contacted ahead of delivery so someone can be present.

Arrival is guaranteed dent-free. If any transit damage has occurred, photograph it while the delivery team is present and contact us - we will resolve it. On site the cabinet is levelled, the wall restraint fitted, and the shelves installed - in that order, because a glazed cabinet is best glazed and shelved once it is standing true and secured.

The solid teak carcass and its joinery carry a 20-year warranty from the day the showcase reaches you - the frame, the glazed door construction and hinging, the glazing housings, the mesh panel frames, the shelf supports, the cornice and crest joints, and the carved legs and their joints into the base.

Lifetime cover against termite damage applies for the life of the furniture rather than a fixed number of years. Because the piece is seasoned solid teak throughout - carcass, doors, back and internal fittings - there is no board core anywhere for insects to reach.

If a warranty issue arises, send us photographs and we will assess and repair or replace. The leg joints are covered specifically, since on a cabinet standing on legs they carry everything. Glazed door alignment is covered too. Both warranties apply anywhere in India.
