A showpiece cabinet is bought to be looked at as much as used - the one piece in a house that people comment on. This one is solid teak, hand-carved by master Indian artisans, with hand marbled blue panels and gilded carving.

Both ends are fully bowed and glazed, the reveals are mirrored, and the interior carries glass shelves against a mirrored back, so the cabinet works as a lantern of reflected light when it is lit.

The marbling is hand painted. It can be built in blue as shown, in green, in a warm sienna, or in a black-and-gold - and it can equally be left as a plain colour if you would rather the carving did all the work.

Every cabinet is made to order and fully customisable. Width, height, depth, shelf spacing, marbling colour, lighting, back treatment and finish are all specified by you, with dimensions confirmed in writing before production.

The solid teak carcass and joinery carry a 20-year warranty plus lifetime cover against termite damage. Delivery is free anywhere in India, guaranteed dent-free.

Hand marbling is not painting a pattern. It is painting a material, and the difference is a single rule.

Real marble is quarried from a block, and when a mason cuts several panels from one block the veining continues from panel to panel in the same direction, because it is the same seam running through the stone. That continuity is what the eye recognises as stone, long before it registers colour or polish.

Paint each panel independently - even beautifully - and you get several convincing pieces of marble that plainly did not come from the same place. The cabinet stops reading as a marble-panelled object and starts reading as a collection of painted samples.

So our master Indian artisans set the direction of the veining across the whole cabinet before any panel is begun, as if an imaginary block had been cut into these particular pieces. Every vein on every panel runs on that one axis. Where a panel sits beside another, the veins step across the gap at roughly the height they would if the two had been sawn from adjacent slices.

The colour is laid wet, the veins drawn in last with a feather while the ground is still open, and none of it can be corrected afterwards.

Material: solid teak carcass, doors and frame, hand-carved. No veneer, no engineered board.

Configuration: fully bowed glazed end bays, glazed centre doors, mirrored reveals between the glazing, glass shelves and a mirrored back.

Marbling: hand painted wet, veined last, with the veining direction set across the whole cabinet so all panels read as one block of stone.

Interior: shelf spacing to your requirement; adjustable supports available; interior lighting available; interior finished to show standard.

Carving and finish: tall pierced crest, deep gilded apron with centre cartouche, carved scrolled feet; hand-applied gilding on all carved work, sealed for durability.

Sizes: custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Warranty: 20 years on the solid teak carcass and joinery; lifetime cover against termite damage.

Photography: images show the actual product, not renders. Items displayed inside are not included.

This cabinet carries more glass and mirror than almost anything we make, and every sheet is protected separately.

The bowed end panes stay in their housings under shaped formers following each curve across its whole face. Mirrored reveals and the mirrored back are protected across their full surfaces and braced so the carcass cannot flex against them.

Glass shelves travel out, laid flat, interleaved and edge-guarded. Glazed doors are secured closed, braced and protected across each pane.

A soft, clean non-abrasive layer goes against the marbled panels and the gilding - marbling is a painted surface and shows a rub permanently.

The pierced crest, the deep apron and the scrolled feet each receive shaped protection. The carcass enters a rigid outer crate with cushioning, corner protection and strapping. This is why dent-free arrival is guaranteed.

Delivery is free across India - no freight charge, no distance surcharge, and no difference between a metro address and a smaller town.

Because every cabinet is made to order, we confirm your finished dimensions, your shelf layout, the marbling colour, the lighting arrangement and your access dimensions - doorway widths, stair turns, lift size - in writing before production begins. A fully bowed cabinet is measured at the middle of its bow, which is its widest point.

Once complete it is packed as described and dispatched with a carrier used to handling carved furniture, mirror and glass. You are contacted ahead of delivery so someone can be present.

Arrival is guaranteed dent-free. If any transit damage has occurred, photograph it while the delivery team is present and contact us - we will resolve it. On site the cabinet is levelled, the mirrored back checked and the shelves fitted.

The solid teak carcass and its joinery carry a 20-year warranty from the day the cabinet reaches you - the frame, the glazed door construction and hinging, the curved glass housings, the mirrored reveals and back, the shelf supports, and the cornice and crest joints.

Lifetime cover against termite damage applies for the life of the furniture rather than a fixed number of years. Because the piece is seasoned solid teak throughout, there is no board core anywhere for insects to reach.

If a warranty issue arises, send us photographs and we will assess and repair or replace. Marbled panels are repainted by hand if ever damaged, and the veining is matched to the direction already established on the cabinet so a repaired panel still belongs to the same imaginary block. Glazed door alignment is covered too. Both warranties apply anywhere in India.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about this product.

It is hand painted marbling on solid teak, not stone. Painting it rather than veneering stone is what allows the marbled surface to follow the bowed and carved forms of the cabinet, which a stone panel could not.

Yes. Green, sienna, grey, black-and-gold, or a deeper or paler blue. The panels can also be finished as a plain colour with no marbling at all.

Yes - a mirrored back with mirrored reveals between the glazing. With lighting built in, the cabinet works as a lantern of reflected light. A fabric or timber back can be built instead if you prefer.

Yes - concealed at the top or under each shelf. On a mirrored cabinet it makes a considerable difference. Specify it before production so the wiring is built into the carcass.

Yes - full bows, glazed top to bottom, so there is no blank return anywhere and the display is visible from every approach.

No. The glassware in the photograph shows scale and how the lit cabinet looks when filled. Only the cabinet is supplied.

Yes. Adjustable supports can be built in so shelf heights can be changed later as your collection changes.

20 years on the solid teak carcass and joinery, including the curved glass housings and glazed door alignment, plus lifetime cover against termite damage. Both apply anywhere in India.
