This is a gold centre table in hand-carved solid teak, made to order in the size you need. A single gold tone across the whole piece is a deliberate choice - it lets a heavily carved table sit under a busy sofa set without adding a second colour to the room.

Master Indian artisans carve every element by hand from seasoned solid teak. The acanthus apron is undercut so the leaves stand clear of the ground behind them, and the legs are carved from single thick blanks rather than being built up from parts.

Every dimension is yours to set. Custom sizes are made to order and final measurements are confirmed in writing before production. Behind it stand a 20-year warranty on the teak frame and joinery, a lifetime warranty against termite damage, free PAN-India delivery with guaranteed dent-free arrival, and multi-layer protective packaging.

Each leg on this table starts as a block of teak roughly four times the weight of the finished leg. Almost all of it becomes shavings on the floor.

That is what a carved leg costs, and it is not obvious until you look at the shape. The volute at the top is far wider than the shaft below it, and the ball foot is wider again. A leg blank has to be thick enough to contain the widest point anywhere along its length, because carving only removes material - nothing can be added back. So the blank is sized for the volute, and the entire middle of the leg is then cut away to leave a shaft less than half that width.

The alternative, used almost everywhere, is to make a slim leg and glue extra blocks onto it where the shape needs to be wider. It saves a great deal of timber. It also puts a glue line exactly where the carving is deepest, and in twenty years that line will show as a fine crack running through a leaf.

We take the loss on the timber instead. A leg carved from one block has no joint in it, anywhere - which is why we are willing to warrant the frame for twenty years.

Material: solid teak throughout, hand-carved by master Indian artisans. Legs carved from single blanks with no added blocks.

Top: square with a moulded edge.

Apron: deep undercut acanthus and shell carving on all four faces.

Legs: carved volute at the top, fluted shaft, scrolled ball foot.

Joinery: traditional joinery at every junction.

Finish: hand-applied gold across the whole piece. Silver, champagne, antiqued tones or plain polished teak are also available.

Size: custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Photography: images on this page are of the actual product, not renders.

Gold sits on the highest points of the carving, which are exactly the points a carton presses against - so nothing rigid is allowed to touch this table directly.

A soft non-abrasive layer goes over every gilded surface first, laid smoothly rather than folded. The four volutes at the tops of the legs and the scrolled ball feet each get deep shaped foam collars, since they stand widest and take any impact first.

The undercut acanthus apron is given a continuous foam strip along all four faces so pressure is spread rather than landing between the leaves, and a rigid panel is fitted over the face of the top. Corrugated panels then build a rigid shell around the table, the base is blocked and braced so weight rests on the frame rather than the carving, and the outer carton is edge-reinforced. Everything unwraps by hand, no blades needed.

Free PAN-India delivery is included in the price - no zone rates, no distance surcharge, no freight line at checkout. The table costs the same delivered to Surat as to Siliguri.

Dent-free arrival is guaranteed. It leaves in multi-layer protective packaging, travels with handlers briefed on gilded carving, and is checked at every transfer point. If anything is not right when you open it, tell us and we make it right - the guarantee sits with us, not with the transporter.

Because the table is made to order, production begins once your size and finish are confirmed in writing. Deep carving and hand gilding both take real time, so we give you a realistic timeline rather than an optimistic one, keep you updated as the work progresses, and send a dispatch note with an expected delivery window.

The solid teak and its joinery carry a 20-year warranty - the top and its frame, the apron rails, the joints where the legs meet them, and the legs themselves. If a joint opens or a member fails within those twenty years, we repair or replace it.

A lifetime warranty against termite damage runs alongside it and never expires. Teak's natural oils are why termites avoid it, and our seasoning and finishing routine is built around preserving them, so the timber is guaranteed for as long as the table is yours.

Legs carved from single blanks are the reason a term this long is realistic on a piece this heavily worked - there are no glue lines inside the carving waiting to open. All of it is built from start to finish in our own workshop by the master Indian artisans who make every piece we sell, from timber we season ourselves. Registration is automatic with your order.
