This is a luxury centre table with a dark marble top and a hand-carved solid teak base, made to order in the size you need. The dark stone is the practical half of the design - it hides rings and dust far better than a pale top, which matters on the one table in a living room that gets used every day.

Master Indian artisans carve the base by hand from seasoned solid teak. The acanthus apron is cut from solid stock and undercut so the leaves stand clear, and the gold is laid only on the raised carving so the timber stays the dominant material.

Every dimension is yours to set, along with the stone itself. Custom sizes are made to order and final measurements are confirmed in writing before production. Behind it stand a 20-year warranty on the teak frame and joinery, a lifetime warranty against termite damage, free PAN-India delivery with guaranteed dent-free arrival, and multi-layer protective packaging.

Look at the edge of the marble on this table. It is not a flat slab with a polished edge - it has a moulded profile worked into the stone itself, and that profile is the same one running in the timber below it.

Most stone-topped tables do not do this. A slab is cut, its edge is eased, and it is dropped onto a timber base whose mouldings are their own shape entirely. The two materials meet and simply stop, and the join reads as two objects stacked rather than one piece of furniture.

Here the timber moulding is drawn first, and its section is passed to the stone cutter as a template. The slab is then profiled to continue that line - the ogee in the wood carries on into the ogee in the stone, so the eye follows a single unbroken curve from the apron up over the edge of the top.

It is slow work on stone, done with progressively finer shaped abrasives rather than a cutter, and it has to be right at every point around a shaped outline. The reward is a table where nobody notices the join between two very different materials - which is the entire aim.

Base: solid teak throughout, hand-carved by master Indian artisans, with traditional joinery at every junction.

Top: dark veined marble, cut to the shaped outline of the base and profiled at the edge to continue the timber moulding. Other stones can be specified.

Apron: deeply carved scrolling acanthus with gold picked out on the raised leaves, over a beaded band.

Legs: carved cabriole legs with a shell at each knee, finishing in scrolled feet.

Finish: deep brown hand polish with gold highlights. The amount of gilding is set by you, from none to fully gilded.

Size: custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Photography: images on this page are of the actual product, not renders.

The marble and the base travel as separate cartons, because a slab left sitting on its base would move against the timber over a long journey and chip the profiled edge that took the longest to make.

The stone is edge-protected on all four sides with dense foam shaped to its moulded profile - a square foam block would bear only on the outermost point of the moulding and leave the rest unsupported - then faced with a soft layer and carried flat between rigid boards.

The base is wrapped with a soft non-abrasive layer over the polish and gilding, with foam collars on the cabriole knees, the scrolled feet and each corner of the apron. The undercut acanthus gets a continuous foam strip so no pressure lands between the leaves. Corrugated panels build a rigid shell around it, the base is blocked and braced, and the outer cartons are edge-reinforced. Everything unwraps by hand.

Free PAN-India delivery is included in the price, stone and base together - no zone rates, no distance surcharge, no charge for the weight of the slab. The same cost delivered to Nagpur as to Nashik.

Dent-free arrival is guaranteed. Both cartons leave in multi-layer protective packaging, travel with handlers briefed on stone and carved timber, and are checked at every transfer point. If anything is not right when you open either, tell us and we make it right - the guarantee sits with us, not with the transporter.

Because the table is made to order, production begins once your size, stone and finish are confirmed in writing. Profiling a shaped stone edge takes time, so we give you a realistic timeline rather than an optimistic one, keep you updated as the work progresses, and send a dispatch note with an expected delivery window.

The solid teak base and its joinery carry a 20-year warranty - the top frame, the apron rails, the joints where the legs meet them, and the legs themselves. If a joint opens or a member fails within those twenty years, we repair or replace it.

A lifetime warranty against termite damage runs alongside it and never expires. Teak's natural oils are why termites leave it alone, and our seasoning and finishing routine is built around preserving them, so the timber is guaranteed for as long as the table is yours.

A stone top puts real and permanent weight on a base, and it never lets up - which is exactly the load a twenty-year term on the joinery is written for. It holds because the table is made from start to finish in our own workshop by the master Indian artisans who build every piece we sell, from timber we season ourselves.
