A cream and gold wardrobe is the warmer alternative to white and gold - the cream keeps a large piece soft in a bedroom, and the gold does the work of defining its shape.

This one is solid teak, hand-carved by master Indian artisans. A full-height mirrored door projects at the centre; the flanking doors carry cream panels above and a diamond-carved gold field below, with the two divided by a long sweeping curve.

The ends are curved and carved, the crest above the cornice is pierced, and the plinth is carved through in openwork.

Every wardrobe is made to order and fully customisable. Width, height, depth, door count, mirror placement, finish and interior layout are all specified by you, with custom sizes made to order and dimensions confirmed in writing before production.

The solid teak carcass and joinery carry a 20-year warranty plus lifetime cover against termite damage. Delivery is free anywhere in India, guaranteed dent-free.

A door that stands proud of its neighbours has to be closed last and opened first, and if the wardrobe does not enforce that, it will eventually be forced.

The mirrored centre door here projects forward. That means its edges overlap the front faces of the doors beside it. Close a flanking door while the centre door is already shut and the two meet edge to face - the flanking door cannot reach its stop, and pushing harder chips a mirror frame or springs a hinge.

Nobody thinks about closing order while getting dressed, so our master Indian artisans build the sequence into the furniture instead of relying on the owner to remember it. The centre door is hung to close over the flanking doors, and its own stop sits behind them, so it physically cannot shut until they are shut. Try to close it first and it simply meets the open doors and waits.

It is a small piece of design that decides whether the wardrobe is still working in ten years, and it costs nothing except thinking about it before the doors are hung rather than after.

Material: solid teak carcass, doors and frame, hand-carved. No veneer, no engineered board.

Configuration: projecting full-height mirrored centre door in a gilded frame, flanking doors with cream painted upper panels and diamond-carved gold lower fields, curved carved end panels.

Door sequence: the centre door is hung to close over the flanking doors, with its stop set behind them so the closing order is enforced by the furniture.

Carving: diamond-carved and gilded field, gilded corner scrollwork, pierced gold crest above the cornice, deep pierced carved plinth, carved feet.

Finish: cream ground with hand-applied gilding on the carved work, sealed for durability.

Interior: planned to your requirements - long and short hanging, shelving, drawers, shoe storage, lockable compartments.

Sizes: custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production, including access dimensions.

Warranty: 20 years on the solid teak carcass and joinery; lifetime cover against termite damage.

Two elements decide how this wardrobe is packed: the deep pierced plinth and the projecting mirrored door.

The plinth is openwork, projects on three faces and sits at the height a crate is most likely to be struck. It receives its own shaped protection with clearance beneath and in front.

The mirrored door projects forward of the front line, so it cannot be protected by the crate face alone. It is secured closed, braced, protected across the full face of the glass, and given a shaped standoff so nothing bears on its gilded frame.

All other doors are secured and braced. A soft, clean non-abrasive layer goes against the cream ground first, since a pale finish shows a rub immediately.

The carcass enters a rigid outer crate with cushioning on every face, corner protection throughout, and strapping that prevents movement. This is why dent-free arrival is guaranteed.

Delivery is free across India - no freight charge, no distance surcharge, and no difference between a metro address and a smaller town.

Because every wardrobe is made to order, we confirm your finished dimensions and your access dimensions - doorway widths, stair turns, lift size - in writing before production begins. Where access requires it, the wardrobe is built to knock down into sections that assemble in the room, with the mirrored door travelling separately and the plinth fitted on site so its carved run stays continuous.

Once complete it is packed as described and dispatched with a carrier used to handling large carved furniture and mirror glass. You are contacted ahead of delivery so someone can be present.

Arrival is guaranteed dent-free. If any transit damage has occurred, photograph it while the delivery team is present and contact us - we will resolve it. On installation the door sequence is checked through a full open and close.

The solid teak carcass and its joinery carry a 20-year warranty from the day the wardrobe reaches you - the frame, the door construction, the hinging and stops of the projecting mirrored door, the cornice and crest joints, the pierced plinth and the carved feet.

Lifetime cover against termite damage applies for the life of the furniture rather than a fixed number of years. Because the piece is seasoned solid teak throughout - carcass, doors, backs and internal fittings - there is no board core anywhere for insects to reach.

If a warranty issue arises, send us photographs and we will assess and repair or replace. Door alignment is covered, and so specifically is the closing sequence of the centre door: if it ever begins to foul the doors beside it, that is ours to correct. Both warranties apply anywhere in India and travel with the furniture.

Yes. The mirror can sit at the centre as shown, on the flanking doors, on more than one door, or on the inside of a door so it is hidden when closed.

Yes. The cream can be built as ivory, pearl, grey or a deeper tone, and the gilding can be silver. The diamond-carved field can also be finished in the ground colour rather than gold.

Yes, entirely. Long hanging for sarees and coats, short hanging, shelving, drawers, shoe storage, a lockable compartment, interior lighting - built to your requirements and confirmed in writing before production.
