A luxury wardrobe earns the description through construction rather than size: solid timber throughout, carving cut from the solid, an interior planned around one household rather than a catalogue, and a finish laid by hand. This one is solid teak, hand-carved by master Indian artisans.

The design sets a dark carved frame around pale figured door panels, with carved swags across the door heads, a crested cornice above and a deep pierced apron below.

The ends are curved and panelled, so the piece is finished on every face it shows.

Every wardrobe is made to order and fully customisable. Width, height, depth, door count, panel finish, frame colour and interior layout are all yours to specify, with custom sizes made to order and dimensions confirmed in writing before production.

The solid teak carcass and joinery carry a 20-year warranty plus lifetime cover against termite damage. Delivery is free anywhere in India, in multi-layer protective packaging with guaranteed dent-free arrival.

The carved swags across the tops of these doors are the one element on the whole wardrobe that cannot be drawn freehand, and every carver knows it.

A swag is a length of something hanging between two fixed points. The curve a hanging cord makes is a very particular shape - it falls steeply near its ends and flattens through the middle - and the human eye has seen it on ropes, chains, garlands and washing lines since before anyone could draw. Sketch a swag by hand and you will almost certainly produce something closer to a circle's arc, which reads immediately as wrong even to someone who has never thought about it.

So our master Indian artisans do not draw it. A chain or a weighted cord is pinned at the two points the swag is to hang between, allowed to settle, and the curve it makes is traced straight onto the timber. Then the foliage is carved along that line.

Where a swag on this piece hangs a little deeper than its neighbour, that is because the points it hangs between are further apart - which is exactly what would happen to a real garland. The carving obeys the same rule the material would.

Material: solid teak carcass, doors and frame, hand-carved. No veneer, no engineered board.

Construction: dark carved outer frame with corner pilasters and carved capitals, enclosing pale figured door panels; curved panelled ends.

Carving: crested and carved cornice, carved swags across the door heads, gilded borders and scrollwork, deep pierced apron along the base, shaped plinth.

Finish: dark polished frame with hand-applied gilding on the carved ornament and a pale finish on the door panels, sealed for durability.

Interior: planned to your requirements - long and short hanging, shelving, drawers, shoe storage, lockable compartments, interior mirrors.

Sizes: custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production, including access dimensions.

Warranty: 20 years on the solid teak carcass and joinery; lifetime cover against termite damage.

Photography: images show the actual product, not renders.

The pierced apron along the base is the most vulnerable element on this wardrobe, because it projects, it is openwork, and it sits at exactly the height a crate gets knocked. It is packed first, in its own shaped protection with clearance beneath.

The crested cornice and the carved capitals at the corners are protected next, individually shaped rather than pressed flat.

All doors are secured closed and braced so nothing swings or works against its hinges. A soft, clean non-abrasive layer goes against the finished surfaces first - this piece has both a dark polish and a pale panel finish, and each shows marks differently.

The curved ends are supported along their sweep. The carcass then enters a rigid outer crate with cushioning on every face, protection at all eight corners, and strapping that prevents movement.

This multi-layer protective packaging is why dent-free arrival is guaranteed.

Delivery is free across India - no freight charge, no distance surcharge, and no difference between a metro address and a smaller town, whatever the size of the wardrobe.

Because every wardrobe is made to order, we confirm your finished dimensions and your access dimensions - doorway widths, stair turns, lift size - in writing before production begins. Where access requires it, the wardrobe is built to knock down into sections that assemble in the room, with the cornice and plinth fitting on site so their carved runs stay continuous.

Once complete it is packed as described and dispatched with a carrier used to handling large carved furniture. You are contacted ahead of delivery so someone can be present.

Arrival is guaranteed dent-free. If any transit damage has occurred, photograph it while the delivery team is present and contact us - we will resolve it.

The solid teak carcass and its joinery carry a 20-year warranty from the day the wardrobe reaches you - the frame and pilasters, the door construction and hinging, the cornice and crest joints, the pierced apron and the plinth.

Lifetime cover against termite damage applies for the life of the furniture rather than a fixed term. Because the piece is seasoned solid teak throughout - frame, doors, panels, back and internal fittings - there is no board core anywhere for insects to reach, and the timber's own oils deter them.

If a warranty issue arises, send us photographs and we will assess and repair or replace. Door alignment is covered. Where carved elements need repair they are re-cut from solid teak and the finish is matched, and a repaired swag is set out the same way as the original so its curve agrees with the ones beside it. Both warranties apply anywhere in India and travel with the furniture.
