A glass display cabinet is for the things a house has that are worth looking at - crockery, silver, crystal, trophies, gifts, pieces brought back from travelling. This one is solid teak, hand-carved by master Indian artisans, finished in ivory with gilded detail.

Glazed doors run the full width in four sections, with glass shelves inside and a mirrored back behind them. The mirror is what makes a cabinet like this work: it doubles the apparent depth and lights the backs of everything on the shelves.

A carved crest tops the cornice, painted floral panels close the base, and the piece stands on carved feet.

Every cabinet is made to order and fully customisable. Width, height, depth, door count, shelf spacing, lighting, and whether any bay is closed rather than glazed - all specified by you, with dimensions confirmed in writing before production.

The solid teak carcass and joinery carry a 20-year warranty plus lifetime cover against termite damage. Delivery is free anywhere in India, guaranteed dent-free.

A mirrored back is what turns a cabinet into a display, and it also sets a tolerance that a plain-backed cabinet never has to meet.

Put a glass shelf in front of a mirror and you see two of it: the shelf itself and its reflection. If the shelf is dead parallel to the mirror, those two lines run together and read as one thicker line - the eye accepts it instantly and stops noticing. If the shelf is a fraction out of parallel, the reflection diverges from the real shelf as it travels back, and you get a shallow V opening towards one end.

Nobody looks at a cabinet and thinks about parallelism. But a set of shelves that all splay slightly in the mirror makes the whole cabinet look badly made, and nobody can say why.

So our master Indian artisans set the mirrored back first, dead flat and dead plumb, and then take every shelf position from the mirror rather than from the front of the cabinet. The front edge of the carcass may be shaped, moulded or carved; the mirror is the datum.

It is one of those decisions that costs nothing at the time and cannot be corrected afterwards.

Material: solid teak carcass, doors and frame, hand-carved. No veneer, no engineered board.

Configuration: four glazed doors - two narrow side bays and a wide centre pair - over a carved and painted base panel.

Interior: glass shelves in front of a mirrored back, shelf positions set from the mirror so shelves and their reflections read parallel. Shelf count and spacing to your requirement; interior lighting available.

Carving: carved crest above the cornice, gilded cornice and capital work, carved scrollwork over the centre bay, carved apron and shaped feet.

Finish: ivory ground with gilded mouldings and hand painted floral sprays on the base panels, sealed for durability.

Sizes: custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production, including access dimensions.

Warranty: 20 years on the solid teak carcass and joinery; lifetime cover against termite damage.

This cabinet contains more glass than any other piece we make, and every sheet is packed separately from every other.

The glass shelves travel out of the cabinet, laid flat and individually interleaved with guards on all edges - a polished glass edge chips more easily than a cut one.

The mirrored back is protected across its full face and braced so the carcass cannot flex against it.

The glazed doors are secured closed, braced, and protected across each pane so no pressure reaches the glass.

A soft, clean non-abrasive layer goes against the ivory ground first, and the carved crest, the gilded cornice work, the carved apron and each foot receive individually shaped protection.

The carcass enters a rigid outer crate with cushioning on every face, corner protection throughout, and strapping that prevents movement. This is why dent-free arrival is guaranteed.

Delivery is free across India - no freight charge, no distance surcharge, and no difference between a metro address and a smaller town.

Because every cabinet is made to order, we confirm your finished dimensions, your shelf layout and your access dimensions - doorway widths, stair turns, lift size - in writing before production begins. Where access requires it, the cabinet is built to knock down into sections that assemble in the room, with all glass travelling separately.

Once complete it is packed as described and dispatched with a carrier used to handling large carved furniture and glass. You are contacted ahead of delivery so someone can be present.

Arrival is guaranteed dent-free. If any transit damage has occurred, photograph it while the delivery team is present and contact us - we will resolve it. On site the mirrored back is set first, then the shelves, and each shelf is checked against its reflection.

The solid teak carcass and its joinery carry a 20-year warranty from the day the cabinet reaches you - the frame, the glazed door construction and hinging, the shelf supports, the cornice and crest joints, and the carved apron and feet.

Lifetime cover against termite damage applies for the life of the furniture rather than a fixed number of years. Because the piece is seasoned solid teak throughout - carcass, doors, back framing and internal fittings - there is no board core anywhere for insects to reach.

If a warranty issue arises, send us photographs and we will assess and repair or replace. Glazed doors are covered including their glazing and their alignment - a glazed door that drops out of square shows immediately, because the glass makes the frame's shape visible. Both warranties apply anywhere in India and travel with the furniture.

Yes. A full mirrored back stands behind the shelves, which is what gives the cabinet its depth and lights the backs of what you display. A plain timber back can be built instead if you prefer.
