A solid wood showcase in teak, hand-carved and finished in off white throughout. It is built in two parts - a glazed display section over a curved cupboard base - and suits a dining or living room that is already full of colour and wants a piece of furniture that calms it down.

The display section carries an arched centre door with a shaped head, glazed bays on either side, and glass shelves running through all of them. The pierced crest above is the tallest element and gives the cabinet its outline.

The base is bombe - it swells outward across its width and rolls forward down its height - with cupboards at the ends and a stack of drawers in the middle for flatware and linen.

Carving runs across the crest, around every panel, along the base rail and out into the scrolled feet, and it is left the same colour as everything else so it reads as form rather than as decoration.

Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

A rococo crest like the one on this showcase is not symmetrical, and carving it is nothing like carving a mirrored pair.

A symmetrical crest can be worked one side at a time. Finish the left, take a template off it, reverse it, cut the right. The work is exacting but the method is simple.

This crest is designed the older way, with the two halves differing - a scroll that runs further on one side, a shell set slightly off centre, an opening that appears on one half and not the other. It is balanced by mass, not by mirroring, and mass can only be judged with both halves in front of you at the same stage.

So our carver works alternately. A little is taken off the left, then the equivalent off the right, then both are stepped back from and weighed against each other before the next cut. If one side gets ahead, the judgement goes with it and the crest ends up leaning.

It is slower than working half and copying it. It is the only way the finished crest sits level over the cabinet without being identical on both sides.

Material: solid teak in the carcass, door frames, drawer boxes, crest, base and feet.

Configuration: two-part - glazed display section above, bombe cupboard base below, built separately and joined on site.

Display section: arched centre door with shaped head, flanking glazed bays, glazed returns to the angled corners, glass shelves throughout.

Base: bombe curved front, side cupboards with shelving, centre drawer stack, carved scroll feet.

Carving: deeply pierced rococo crest, scrolled panel borders, shaped base rail and carved feet, all cut by hand.

Finish: off white throughout, with painted sprays on the base panels worked in tones close to the ground colour.

Made to order: width, height, depth, drawer and cupboard layout, shelf spacing and finish are all customisable. Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

A pale finish shows every mark, so this cabinet is wrapped to keep anything textured away from the paint. Acid-free tissue goes directly against the surface first, then foam sheet, then bubble wrap, over both the display section and the curved base.

The pierced crest is the most exposed part of the piece. Foam is pressed into each opening in the piercing so the carving is supported from behind, then the whole crest is boxed on its own with blocks moulded around its profile.

The glazed doors come off their hinges and travel crated flat, panes taped across the face and foam-sleeved individually, with the arched head bedded in foam cut to its shape.

The scrolled feet and the projecting base corners are given their own foam blocks, since those are the points that meet doorways.

Both sections ship in hardwood crates with corner protection and orientation marking. Multi-layer protective packaging is included with every order at no extra cost.

Delivery is free anywhere in India, with dent-free arrival guaranteed. Nothing is charged for distance, size or handling.

Production begins once your dimensions are confirmed in writing, and we photograph your actual showcase as it progresses - carcass, carving, primer, finish coats and glazing - so you are looking at the real piece rather than a sample of the range.

The two sections travel separately, which makes doorways and stairs far more manageable than a single tall cabinet would be. On site, our team places and levels the base, sets the display section onto it, hangs the doors and fits the glass shelves last.

Tell us about lift dimensions, stair turns and doorway widths before dispatch so the approach can be planned. Every photograph on this page is of the actual product, not a render.

The solid teak frame and joinery carry a 20-year warranty, covering both sections - the carcasses, the door frames, the drawer boxes, the base structure and every joint between them.

A lifetime warranty against termite damage runs with the piece and never expires. Teak's own oils are its first defence and our warranty is the second, for as long as you own the showcase.

Glass, shelves, drawer runners and hardware are covered against manufacturing defect.

Because the finish is a single continuous colour, matching matters more here than on a two-tone piece - so the exact off white used on your cabinet is recorded against your order number. If you ever want a section refreshed, we mix to that record rather than to an approximation. Contact us and we will arrange it.
