A showcase cupboard in solid teak, hand-carved and finished in taupe with gold relief and dark bronze detail.

Three glazed bays run across the top, the two outer ones shaped so they turn towards the room. Glass shelves carry through the display, and the interior is finished pale so light travels down through it.

Below the waist, the doors and end panels are solid and carved with tall damask motifs standing proud of the ground, gilded so they catch light while the taupe behind stays quiet. That lower half is closed storage - shelved cupboards for whatever you would rather not have on show.

A pierced crest in bronze tone runs across the top, and carved legs stand at the base, set in from the corners.

The two-tone structure is what makes the cabinet work: bright ornament on a muted ground, with the darker tone drawing the outline.

Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

The legs on this cabinet are deliberately set in from the corners, and that single design decision changes how the base has to be built.

Put the legs directly under the corners and the cabinet is simple to engineer - every load runs straight down. It also looks heavier, because the eye reads the case as continuing all the way to the floor at its widest point.

Setting them inboard breaks that line. Light passes under the ends of the cabinet, the case appears to float, and a large cupboard reads as lighter than it is. But it means the corners of the case now overhang their supports, and the base frame has to carry that overhang rather than simply pass the load downwards.

So the base frame on this piece is made deeper in section than it would otherwise need to be, and the rails are jointed into the leg posts rather than sitting on them, so the frame works as a continuous beam across the whole width.

None of that is visible in the finished cabinet. What is visible is the shadow under the ends, which is the whole reason for doing it.

Material: solid teak in the carcass, door frames, carved panels, base frame, legs and crest.

Upper section: three glazed bays - flat centre with shaped end bays - glass shelves on concealed supports, pale finished interior.

Lower section: solid doors and end panels with raised damask carving, shelved cupboards behind.

Base: deep-section base frame with rails jointed into the leg posts, carrying the corner overhang.

Legs: hand-carved, set inboard of the case corners.

Carving: pierced crest, raised damask panels, carved waist bands and leg fronts.

Finish: taupe ground, gold on the raised carving, dark bronze tone to crest, waist bands and legs, all applied by hand.

Made to order: height, width, depth, bay count, panel pattern, shelf spacing and finish are all customisable. Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Raised carving and slender carved legs are what need protecting here.

The damask relief stands proud of the panel, so foam is laid over each panel and pressed around the motifs rather than simply wrapped across them, supporting the raised work from the sides where it is most likely to catch.

Each leg is detached where the design allows, sleeved in foam along its length and boxed with blocking at its narrowest point.

The glazed doors and shaped bay panes are removed, taped across the face, foam-sleeved and crated flat, with the shaped panes bedded in foam cut to their profile.

The carcass is wrapped in acid-free tissue directly against the finish, then foam sheet, then bubble wrap. The pierced crest is supported with foam through its openings and boxed separately.

Everything travels in hardwood crates with corner protection and orientation marking. Multi-layer protective packaging is included on every order at no extra cost.

Delivery is free anywhere in India, with dent-free arrival guaranteed. No distance charge, no size charge and no handling fee.

Production starts once your dimensions are confirmed in writing. We photograph your actual cabinet through the build - carcass, the base frame and legs, the damask panels carved and then gilded, the taupe and bronze finishes, and the glazing - so you approve the real piece rather than a sample.

On site, our team assembles the cabinet onto its legs and levels it in both directions before anything else, because a cabinet on inboard legs must sit true before glass goes in. The doors are then hung, the shaped panes fitted, and the glass shelves installed last.

Send us lift dimensions, stair turns and doorway widths before dispatch so the route can be planned. Every photograph on this page is of the actual product, not a render.

The solid teak frame and joinery carry a 20-year warranty. On this cabinet that includes the base frame and the leg joints in particular, since they carry the overhanging corners, and they are built and guaranteed with that in mind.

A lifetime warranty against termite damage runs with the piece and never expires. Teak's natural oils are its own defence and our warranty is what stands behind them.

Glass, shelves, shelf supports, hinges and hardware are covered against manufacturing defect.

The taupe ground, the gold on the relief and the bronze tone are all applied by hand and recorded against your order number, so a later retouch is matched to the exact finishes used on your cabinet rather than approximated. Contact us and we will arrange it.
