A crockery unit is the dining room's working cupboard and its display piece at once - glass above for what you want seen, closed storage below for what you use every day.

This one is solid teak, hand-carved by master Indian artisans and finished in ivory with gold lining. The glazed upper section carries glass shelves and is glazed at the sides as well as the front, so light passes through it rather than stopping at a solid end.

Below, painted floral panels close the cupboard and a run of drawers sits between the two halves.

Every unit is made to order and fully customisable. Width, height, depth, shelf spacing, drawer count, lower cupboard interior, painted design and finish are all specified by you, with dimensions confirmed in writing before production.

The solid teak carcass and joinery carry a 20-year warranty plus lifetime cover against termite damage. Delivery is free anywhere in India, guaranteed dent-free.

A two-part cabinet is really two pieces of furniture that have to look like one, and the joint between them is where that either works or does not.

They cannot be built as a single unit - a glazed top on a closed base would be too tall and too heavy to get through a doorway, up a stair, or round a landing. So the upper section has to lift off.

The wrong way is to screw the two together and hide the fixings. That makes them one piece again, with all the delivery problems and none of the advantage.

So our master Indian artisans locate the upper section on the lower with blocks rather than fixings: shaped stops on the base that the top drops onto, positioning it exactly and stopping it sliding, held by nothing but its own weight. Lifting it off is a two-person job and no tools.

The moulding that runs across the junction is then fitted to the lower section, not to the upper - so it stands slightly proud, and the actual joint sits behind it in shadow. From the front you see a moulding, which looks intentional. You do not see a line between two boxes, which never does.

Material: solid teak carcass, doors and frame, hand-carved. No veneer, no engineered board.

Configuration: glazed upper section with glass shelves, glazed at front and sides; drawers beneath; closed lower cupboard with painted panelled doors. Serpentine front.

Construction: upper and lower sections separate for delivery, located on shaped blocks rather than fixings, with the junction moulding fitted to the lower section so the joint sits in shadow behind it.

Carving and finish: carved crest above the cornice, gilded lining and mouldings, ivory ground, hand painted floral panels on the lower doors, sealed for durability.

Interior: shelf spacing, drawer count and lower cupboard layout to your requirements; interior lighting available.

Sizes: custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production, including access dimensions.

Warranty: 20 years on the solid teak carcass and joinery; lifetime cover against termite damage.

The two sections travel separately, which is the first and best protection - neither is carrying the other's weight in the crate.

All glass shelves come out and travel flat, interleaved and edge-guarded. The glazed doors are secured closed, braced, and protected across each pane. Drawers are secured shut and blocked so they cannot move.

A soft, clean non-abrasive layer goes against the ivory ground and the painted panels first - painted decoration and pale grounds both show a rub immediately.

The carved crest, the gilded mouldings and the shaped base receive individually shaped protection, and the serpentine front is supported along its curve.

Each section enters its own rigid outer crate with cushioning on every face, corner protection and strapping. This multi-layer protective packaging is why we guarantee dent-free arrival.

Delivery is free across India - no freight charge, no distance surcharge, and no difference between a metro address and a smaller town.

Because every unit is made to order, we confirm your finished dimensions, your shelf and drawer layout and your access dimensions - doorway widths, stair turns, lift size - in writing before production begins. The two-part construction means a tall unit gets into rooms a single-piece cabinet could not.

Once complete it is packed as described and dispatched with a carrier used to handling carved furniture and glass. You are contacted ahead of delivery so someone can be present.

Arrival is guaranteed dent-free. If any transit damage has occurred, photograph it while the delivery team is present and contact us - we will resolve it. On site the base is levelled first, then the upper section is lifted on and the shelves fitted.

The solid teak carcass and its joinery carry a 20-year warranty from the day the unit reaches you - both sections, the glazed door construction and hinging, the drawer runners, the shelf supports, the cornice and crest joints and the shaped base.

Lifetime cover against termite damage applies for the life of the furniture rather than a fixed number of years. Because the piece is seasoned solid teak throughout - carcass, doors, drawers, backs and internal fittings - there is no board core anywhere for insects to reach.

If a warranty issue arises, send us photographs and we will assess and repair or replace. Glazed door alignment, drawer running and the seating of the upper section on the lower are all covered. Painted panels are repainted by hand in the original sequence if ever needed, so the repair lies within the finish exactly as the original does. Both warranties apply anywhere in India.

Everything you need to know about this product.

Yes. The glazed upper section lifts off the base and travels separately, which is how a unit this tall gets through doorways and up staircases. It locates back on shaped blocks - no tools needed.

Yes. Shelf count and heights are specified by you before production, and we can build in adjustable supports so you can change them later as what you display changes.

Yes. Lighting can be built in, concealed at the top or under each shelf. It should be specified before production so the wiring is built in rather than added afterwards.

Yes - it is planned with you. Shelves, drawers, a divided section for table linen, or a lockable compartment. Tell us what you keep in it.

Painted by hand, freehand, one panel at a time - which is why no two are identical. It sits within the finish rather than on top of it, so it does not wear off with use.

Yes. The ivory-and-gold shown can be built in cream, grey, a dark ground with gilded lining, or in a natural teak polish. The painted panels can be a different design or left plain.
