An arch mirror in solid teak, hand-carved and gilded, with a shaped bevelled plate.

The main glass is arched at the head and gently shaped at the lower corners, with a bevel following its whole outline - so the edge of the reflection catches light on every side.

The crest above is pierced, and two small mirrored infills are set within its scrollwork. Those catch light from the ceiling and give the top of the mirror brightness rather than mass.

Carved foliage runs down both sides and a shell sits at the base, with the frame between them left as a beaded moulded run.

The arched form makes it a natural fit above a console, a chest or a fireplace.

Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

The two small mirrors set inside the crest are the most fiddly pieces of glass on this frame, and they are cut last.

They sit in openings that are not regular shapes. Each opening is defined by the carving around it - a scroll on one side, a leaf on another - and no two are identical, because the crest is carved by hand rather than repeated from a mould.

So each is templated individually. A thin sheet is pressed into the opening and scribed against the carving as it actually is, and the little plate is cut to that scribed line rather than to a drawing.

Fitting matters as much as cutting. A small plate wedged tight into an opening surrounded by carving is a plate under pressure, and pressure is what cracks glass at a point. So each is bedded on felt with a small clearance all round, and held with turn fixings from behind rather than pinned.

The reward for the trouble is at the top of the mirror. Two bright openings in the crest catch ceiling light and read as air, which keeps a heavily carved head from looking solid.

Material: solid teak in the frame, crest, side foliage, base shell and back structure.

Main glass: shaped plate, arched at the head and shaped at the lower corners, bevelled around its full outline.

Crest: pierced carving with a central plume, containing two small shaped mirror infills, each templated to its own opening, bedded on felt and held with turn fixings.

Sides and base: carved foliage breaking outward from the frame, carved shell at the base centre, beaded moulded runs between.

Back: solid structure carrying the hanging fixings.

Finish: gilded by hand, raised faces burnished brighter than the grounds.

Made to order: size, plate outline, crest design and finish are all customisable. Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Three plates travel here, and the two small crest infills are removed and packed separately - they are held with turn fixings precisely so they can be.

Each infill is wrapped individually, edge-padded and packed in a compartmented box marked with its position.

The main plate is taped in a grid across its face, foam-strip padded around the bevelled edge, and covered with a rigid board cut to its shaped outline.

The pierced crest is braced with foam pressed into every opening, and acid-free tissue is laid over the gilding before any foam touches it.

The carved side foliage and the base shell are individually blocked.

The mirror travels flat in a hardwood crate with corner protection and clear orientation marking. Multi-layer protective packaging is included on every order at no extra cost.

Delivery is free anywhere in India, with guaranteed dent-free arrival. No distance charge, no size charge and no handling fee.

Production begins once your dimensions are confirmed in writing - and we draw the shaped outline of the plate full size for your approval before any timber is cut, since that outline is the mirror's character.

We photograph your actual mirror through the build: the frame, the crest pierced, the infills templated and fitted, the gilding and the finished mirror.

On site, our team unpacks it flat, fits the crest infills, marks the fixings and hangs it level.

Send us lift dimensions, stair turns and doorway widths ahead of dispatch so the route can be planned. Every photograph on this page is of the actual product, not a render.

The solid teak frame and joinery carry a 20-year warranty - the frame members, the arched head, the crest, the carved foliage and the back structure.

A lifetime warranty against termite damage runs with the mirror and never expires. Teak's natural oils are its own defence and our warranty stands behind them.

All plates - the main glass and both crest infills - and the hanging fixings are covered against manufacturing defect.

Every plate is templated to its own opening, and those templates are kept with your order number, so any one of them can be recut to the original shape rather than measured again. The gilding specification is recorded alongside. Contact us and we will arrange it.
