This is a square centre table in hand-carved solid teak with a lower plinth base, made to order in the size you need. The plinth is useful as well as architectural - it gives you a second surface for books, a tray or a lamp, and it keeps the floor clear of four separate feet, which makes cleaning around it far easier.

Master Indian artisans carve every element by hand from seasoned solid teak. The floral frieze is cut as a continuous run rather than repeated in applied sections, the scroll consoles are worked from solid blanks, and the champagne finish is built by hand over the carving.

Every dimension is yours to set. Custom sizes are made to order and final measurements are confirmed in writing before production. Behind it stand a 20-year warranty on the teak frame and joinery, a lifetime warranty against termite damage, free PAN-India delivery with guaranteed dent-free arrival, and multi-layer protective packaging.

Champagne is not a colour you can apply in one pass. It is a silver ground seen through a warm glaze, and the difficulty is that the glaze has to be the same thickness everywhere.

Metal leaf or a metallic ground on its own reads cold and grey. The warmth comes from a translucent tinted layer laid over it, which lets the metal show through while shifting its colour towards gold. Where that layer sits thicker it reads warmer and darker; where it thins, the cold silver comes back through. On a small carved element nobody notices, because the eye is busy with the shape.

On a large flat top it is merciless. Any variation shows as a soft cloud in the middle of the surface, and once seen it cannot be unseen.

So the glaze on a top like this is worked wet, in one continuous pass, and pulled off evenly before it can begin to set - no stopping halfway, no going back over a section that has started to dry. The carved areas are done separately and can be worked more slowly, because their surface is broken up. It is the flat that decides whether the finish looks right.

Material: solid teak throughout, hand-carved by master Indian artisans. No veneer, plywood or engineered board.

Top: square with a moulded edge.

Frieze: continuous carved floral run beneath the top on all four sides.

Supports: four carved scroll consoles with acanthus and shell detail.

Base: broad lower plinth platform with a moulded edge, usable as a second surface.

Joinery: traditional joinery at every junction.

Finish: hand-built champagne finish - a metallic ground under a warm tinted glaze. Gold, silver, antiqued tones or plain polished teak are also available.

Size: custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Photography: images on this page are of the actual product, not renders.

The plinth is the widest part of this table and the closest to the floor, so it is packed to take every load and to survive doorways.

Its moulded edge is protected all the way round with a continuous foam strip, and its corners get individual collars. The scroll consoles are collared at their volutes, which project furthest, and the floral frieze is covered with a continuous strip so no pressure lands between the flowers.

A soft non-abrasive layer goes over the champagne finish first, laid smoothly - a glazed metallic surface marks more easily than a wax polish, so nothing coarse comes near it. A rigid panel is fitted over the face of the top. Corrugated panels then build a rigid shell around the table, the base is blocked and braced, and the outer carton is edge-reinforced so stacked weight in transit is carried by the packaging. Everything unwraps by hand.

Free PAN-India delivery is included in the price - no zone rates, no distance surcharge, no freight line at checkout. The table costs the same delivered to Ludhiana as to Lucknow.

Dent-free arrival is guaranteed. It leaves in multi-layer protective packaging, travels with handlers briefed on carved and metallic-finished furniture, and is checked at every transfer point. If anything is not right when you open it, tell us and we make it right - the guarantee sits with us, not with the transporter.

Because the table is made to order, production begins once your size and finish are confirmed in writing. A hand-glazed champagne finish has to be worked in single passes and left to cure properly, so we give a realistic timeline rather than an optimistic one, and send a dispatch note with an expected delivery window.

The solid teak and its joinery carry a 20-year warranty - the top and its frame, the frieze rails, the scroll consoles and their joints top and bottom, and the plinth platform. If a joint opens or a member fails within those twenty years, we repair or replace it.

A lifetime warranty against termite damage runs alongside it and never expires. Teak's natural oils are what termites avoid, and our seasoning and finishing routine is built around preserving them, so the timber is guaranteed for as long as the table is yours.

A plinth-based table puts its whole load through four consoles into a wide platform, which means the platform has to stay flat - a twist there would leave the table rocking. That is the case this warranty is written for, and it holds because the piece is built from start to finish in our own workshop by the master Indian artisans who make everything we sell, from timber we season ourselves.
