This royal dressing table is solid teak, hand-carved by master Indian artisans and built entirely to your measurements. It is a full baroque vanity - tall carved mirror, twin drawer pedestals, deck boxes and a matching buttoned stool.

The scale is what makes it work. Carving of this density needs room to be read, so the mirror is tall and the top is wide, and the knee recess in the centre keeps the mass from becoming a solid wall of decoration.

Storage is generous and split by use. The pedestal drawers take clothing, cases and larger items; the raised boxes on the top hold jewellery and everyday pieces at hand height without cluttering the surface.

The white and ebony treatment shown is one option. The same carved form can be finished in ivory and gold, natural teak, walnut, or any pairing you choose, and the carving itself can be made denser or lighter. Photographs here show the piece our artisans actually produced, not a computer render.

Baroque carving was never meant to be looked at in flat light. It was designed for rooms lit by candles and low lamps, where a raised rose or a curling scroll throws a moving shadow and the whole surface seems to shift as you cross the room. Take that same carving into an evenly lit modern bedroom and something is lost - it flattens, and detail that took days to cut disappears into a single pale mass.

The two-tone finish on this vanity is the answer to that problem. Outlining the piece in ebonised black gives every white carved panel a hard boundary, and the eye reads depth from the boundary even when the light is doing nothing to help. The dark tops perform the same trick horizontally, separating the mirror from the pedestals.

Building it is a sequence, not a paint job. The carving is completed first and sealed, the white is built up in thin layers so it settles into the ground of the carving without filling the fine cuts, and the ebonised edges are worked last by hand, following the profile line rather than masked off. Each stage has to cure fully before the next begins.

Material: Solid teak throughout - pedestals, drawer boxes, tops, mirror frame, deck boxes, feet and stool frame. No veneer over engineered board.

Construction: Hand-carved rose, foliage and scroll ornament worked into solid stock; bombe pedestal faces carved from thick timber; carved scroll feet; shaped mirror frame with carved crest.

Storage: Stacked drawers in both pedestals plus two raised deck boxes on the top. Counts, depths and internal fittings are configurable.

Finish: White carved surfaces with ebonised outlines and tops, as photographed. Any pairing of tones can be specified instead.

Stool: Buttoned upholstered seat on carved cabriole legs, included. Fabric is your choice.

Dimensions: Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Made: Handcrafted Indian luxury, produced to order by master Indian artisans.

Heavily carved furniture needs packing that touches the flat surfaces and never the ornament, and that is how this vanity is prepared. The mirror comes off and travels crated on its own, the glass faced and the carved crest and side scrolls supported so nothing presses against a raised petal or a scroll tip.

Pedestals, top and deck boxes are wrapped individually in a soft non-abrasive layer, then covered in foam shaped to bridge over the carving - it rests on the surrounding surface and leaves an air gap across the raised detail. The carved scroll feet, which sit lowest and take the most handling, are boxed with their own rigid guards.

Drawers are removed or secured so they cannot slide open and strike the carved fronts. The stool travels separately, its buttoned seat covered and its cabriole legs padded one by one.

Everything then goes into rigid outer cartons braced against internal movement. Dent-free arrival is guaranteed, and our team assembles the vanity in your room.

Free delivery is included anywhere in India, with no distance surcharge and no charges appearing at the end. Metros, tier-two cities and smaller towns are all served on the same terms.

Production begins once your dimensions, carving density, finish pairing and upholstery are confirmed in writing. A vanity carved to this level takes real time at the bench, so we give you an honest timeline at that point and keep you updated as it moves through carving, assembly, finishing and curing.

Dispatch is through carriers experienced with carved solid wood and mirrored furniture, with tracking details sent when the piece leaves us.

On arrival our team carries the components in, joins the pedestals to the top, sets the deck boxes, mounts the mirror and removes all packaging. Dent-free arrival is guaranteed - if anything is not right, tell us and we will resolve it.

The solid teak frame and joinery are covered for 20 years - both pedestals, every drawer box, the top, the mirror frame, the carved feet and the stool frame.

Deep carving makes that guarantee more demanding, not less. When ornament is cut into solid stock, the timber has to be thick and sound enough that the carving never reaches structural depth. We select and size the stock for the carving that will go into it, which is why we can stand behind the joinery for two decades on a piece worked this heavily.

The teak also carries a lifetime warranty against termite damage, for as long as you own it. That protection comes from the oils naturally in the timber, not from the finish on top of it - so it holds even where the piece is painted.

If anything covered needs attention, send us your order details and photographs and the artisans who carved it will handle the repair or replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about this product.

Yes. White with ebonised outlines is one option - ivory and gold, cream and walnut, all-white, natural teak or a pairing you send us are all available. The carved form stays the same and the finish changes to suit your room.

To your measurement. Overall width, pedestal depth, mirror height and the size of the knee recess are all set by you, and every dimension is confirmed in writing before production. Send us the wall you are working with and our team will propose balanced proportions.

Yes. Our carvers can work the ornament lighter - fewer roses, simpler scrolls, plain drawer fronts with carving only on the mirror and feet - or denser if you want more. It is decided with you before work starts.

As photographed each pedestal carries a stack of drawers, with two raised boxes on the top for jewellery. We can change the count, deepen individual drawers, add lined jewellery trays or fit a lockable drawer.

By hand. Our master Indian artisans cut every rose, leaf and scroll directly into solid teak with chisels, which is why the depth varies naturally across the piece and the detail stays crisp at close range.

Yes. Pedestals, drawer boxes, tops, mirror frame, feet and stool frame are all solid teak. There is no veneer over engineered board anywhere, and the termite warranty applies to the timber beneath the finish.

It travels as separate components - pedestals, top, deck boxes, mirror and stool - and is assembled in your room, so doorways and stairwells are handled easily. If access is unusually tight, tell us and we will plan the build around it.

The solid teak frame and joinery carry a 20-year warranty, and the teak carries a lifetime warranty against termite damage. Send your order details and photographs if anything needs attention and our artisans will arrange the repair or replacement.
