A dressing table with a folding mirror in solid teak, hand-carved by master Indian artisans in cream with gold-picked carving, topped in stone and made entirely to your measurements.

The three-panel mirror is the reason to choose it. Hinged wings let you set your own viewing angle rather than accepting a fixed one, and they fold flat when you want the piece to read as a console rather than a vanity.

Standing on four cabriole legs with no pedestals gives you a full-width open space beneath the table - so the round stool tucks completely away, and the floor stays visible, which makes a wide piece feel much lighter in a bedroom.

The stone top is chosen with you: pale marble as photographed, a warmer cream, a stronger vein, or a plain stone.

Photographs on this page show the actual set our artisans produced, not a computer render.

A folding mirror is a geometry problem disguised as a piece of furniture.

The wings have to do two contradictory things. Open, they must swing far enough forward to catch the sides of your head - which means the hinge has to sit well clear of the centre frame. Closed, they must fold flat against that same centre without their carved edges riding over one another, and without either of them fouling the pierced crest that rises above the centre panel.

Get the hinge line even slightly wrong and one of two things happens: the wings will not close, or they close but stand proud, and the whole assembly sits crooked against the wall.

The solution is to set the hinge back from the face of the centre frame by exactly the thickness of the wing frame, so a closing wing swings into the space its own thickness creates. Then the crest is designed to overhang only the centre panel - never the width the wings need to travel through.

Our craftsmen mark the hinge line before the frames are carved, and test the fold dry, repeatedly, as the carving develops - because a crest that grows by a few millimetres under the chisel is a crest that stops the wings closing. It is checked one last time on the finished, gilded assembly before anything is packed.

Material: Solid teak throughout - shaped carcass, all five drawer boxes, three mirror frames, legs and stool frame, with a natural stone top. No veneer over engineered board.

Construction: Serpentine shaped front, hand-carved cabriole legs with leaf knees and scrolled toes, carved waved apron, gilt drawer medallions, hinged three-panel mirror with pierced foliate crest and carved shells.

Top: Natural stone, hand-dressed to the shaped carcass. Stone type and veining chosen with you.

Storage: One wide centre drawer and two drawers at each side. Counts, depths and internal fittings are configurable.

Finish: Cream with gold-picked carving, as photographed. Any tone and gilding level can be specified.

Stool: Round upholstered seat on matching carved cabriole legs, included. Fabric is your choice.

Dimensions: Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Made: Handcrafted Indian luxury, produced to order by master Indian artisans.

All three mirror panels are separated at the hinges and crated individually - a folded assembly would put the carved edges of the wings against the centre frame for the whole journey. Each glass is faced, each frame backed with a rigid board, and the pierced crest given its own guard. Hinge pins and fittings are bagged and labelled.

The stone top travels on edge in its own braced crate, faced on both sides and cushioned continuously along the serpentine edge, which is where stone chips if it is allowed to move at all.

The table is wrapped in a soft, lint-free layer laid on without tension, then foamed with extra thickness over the gilt drawer medallions and the carved waved apron. Each cabriole leg is sleeved individually along its full sweep, with rigid guards over the scrolled toes.

All five drawers are removed or secured shut. The stool travels in its own box with its seat covered.

Everything goes into rigid, internally braced outer cartons. Dent-free arrival is guaranteed.

Free delivery is included anywhere in India, with no distance surcharge and nothing added at the end. Metros, tier-two cities and smaller towns are served on the same terms.

Production begins once your dimensions, stone selection, drawer layout, mirror configuration, finish and stool fabric are confirmed in writing. Stone dressing and gilding both take time, so we give you an honest timeline then and keep you updated as the set moves through shaping, carving, gilding, stone fitting and assembly.

We dispatch through carriers experienced with carved, gilded, mirrored and stone-topped furniture, and send tracking details as soon as the set leaves us.

On arrival our team positions and levels the table, sets and beds the stone top, mounts the centre mirror, hangs both wings and checks they fold and hold cleanly, places the stool and removes all packaging. Dent-free arrival is guaranteed - tell us if anything is not right and we will resolve it.

The solid teak frame and joinery carry a 20-year warranty - the shaped carcass, all five drawer boxes, every leg joint, all three mirror frames with their hinges, and the stool.

The legs carry the most responsibility here and are fully covered. A wide table with a stone top standing on four cabriole legs and no pedestals puts real load through eight leg joints, so each leg is carved from solid teak with the curve following the grain, and each joint is cut into solid stock rather than dowelled into a panel.

The mirror hinges are covered too. Each wing is hung so its weight is carried into the frame rather than into the hinge leaves alone, which is why the wings hold their set angle rather than drifting closed over the years.

The teak carries a lifetime warranty against termite damage for as long as you own the set, from the oils in the timber rather than the finish over them.

If anything covered needs attention, send us your order details and photographs and our artisans will arrange the repair or replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about this product.

Both side panels are hinged to the arched centre and swing forward to any angle you set - wide for a full side view, closer for a tighter one - and fold flat against the centre when you want a single mirror. They hold their position.

Yes. A single centre panel, three as shown, or five with an extra pair of narrow wings. Our carvers build the frames to whatever configuration you choose and match the crest and shells across all of them.

It is chosen with you - pale veined marble as photographed, warmer cream stones, stronger veining, or a plain stone, and granite is available too. Because veining varies slab to slab we confirm the selection before cutting.

Yes. The same carcass can be topped in solid teak, finished to match or contrast with the body. Tell us which you prefer and we will build the carcass to suit that top.

Four cabriole legs leave the full width beneath the table open, so the stool tucks completely away and the floor stays visible - which makes a wide vanity feel much lighter in a bedroom. We can build it with pedestals if you need more storage.

Five - one wide centre drawer above the knee recess and two at each side. Counts and depths can be changed, and we can fit jewellery trays, dividers or a lockable drawer.

Any size that suits your room. Width, depth, table height, knee recess and mirror panel sizes are all set by you and confirmed in writing before we cut timber. Send us your wall measurements and our team will propose balanced proportions.

A 20-year warranty on the solid teak frame and joinery, including every leg joint, all five drawer boxes and the three mirror frames with their hinges, plus a lifetime warranty against termite damage on the teak.
