A 10 seater dining table in solid teak with ten matching chairs, made to order by master Indian artisans and finished in a hand-antiqued ivory. The apron is scalloped and carved; the legs are cabriole with acanthus knees; the chairs are upholstered in natural linen.

Ten places is where a dining table stops being furniture and starts being infrastructure. Two carvers mark the ends, and because the base is six legs positioned from the seating plan rather than four at the corners, every one of the ten places is clear of a leg.

A soft, aged ivory keeps a table this size from dominating the room. The pale linen on the chairs works with it; a stronger cloth would pull the eye to ten chair backs at once.

Handcrafted Indian luxury, built to your dimensions, with a 20-year warranty on frames and joinery, lifetime termite cover, free PAN-India delivery and guaranteed dent-free arrival.

An antiqued finish fails when the wear is put in the wrong places. Rub a frame randomly and you get a piece of furniture that looks damaged. Rub it where a real chair actually wears, and it looks like it has been in a family for two generations.

So our finisher works from a map rather than by feel. On a dining chair, the wear points are specific and they are always the same: the top of the crest, where a hand grips to pull the chair out; the outer edge of the front seat rail, where legs brush past; the front of the arm on a carver, under a resting forearm; and the feet, particularly the outer front corner of each, where a chair is dragged rather than lifted. On the table, it is the edge of the top on the long sides and the outer face of the leg nearest the door.

Those points get the finish cut back to show the ground beneath. Everywhere else stays as laid. Nothing is worn on an inside face, in a recess, or under an apron, because nothing wears there in real life - and a recess rubbed through is the single clearest sign of a finish aged for effect rather than observed.

Across ten chairs, the map also keeps the set consistent. Ten chairs aged by feel would be ten different chairs; aged to the same map, they are one set that has been used together.

Set: one dining table with ten chairs including carvers, made together as one commission.

Frames: solid teak throughout, hand-carved by master Indian artisans.

Top: shaped edge over a scalloped carved apron.

Legs: six carved cabriole legs with acanthus at the knees, positioned from the seating plan so no place has a leg at it.

Side chairs: shaped, lightly buttoned upholstered backs with upholstered seats.

Carvers: matching backs with shaped open arms.

Upholstery: natural linen as photographed; any fabric or leather available.

Finish: hand-antiqued ivory, with the wear worked only at the points a chair genuinely wears; a crisp un-antiqued finish is equally available.

Joinery: mortise and tenon throughout, corner-blocked at every seat rail.

Dimensions: custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Eleven pieces travel as eleven crates. Chairs are never nested, because a carved crest resting on an upholstered seat is the commonest cause of a marked set, and with ten chairs the risk simply multiplies.

Each upholstered panel is covered in soft non-abrasive sheeting first. The crests, the carver arms and the acanthus knees are then padded individually with foam formed to each shape.

A long top is the most vulnerable piece in a set this size. It travels face-protected with a rigid board across its full surface and edge-protected along its entire perimeter, with additional corner protection at all four corners.

Unpack the chairs first so there is floor space, then the table. Take the wrapping off each piece from the top down; nothing needs dismantling and no fixing has to be undone.

Delivery is free anywhere in India for the whole set, and every piece is guaranteed to arrive dent-free. If anything is wrong when the crates are opened, correcting it is our cost, and we commit to that before you order.

Production begins once the table length, chair count, upholstery and finish are confirmed in writing. Ten chairs and a table are made together and dispatched together, which is the only way the antiquing stays consistent across the set.

We share the schedule at confirmation and update you as carving, finishing and upholstery complete. Tracking follows as soon as the crates leave us, and our team agrees the delivery window with you directly.

Open every crate with the delivery team present and check each piece. A table this long is the awkward item for access, so send us your doorway, lift and stair measurements at the order stage and we set the top to a size that will reach the room.

Every frame in the set carries a 20-year warranty on solid teak frame and joinery - the table and all ten chairs on identical terms. With ten chairs in daily and occasional use, the corner-blocked seat rails matter, and they are covered like the rest.

A lifetime warranty against termite damage runs on every piece, resting on teak's own oils rather than on any applied treatment, and issued in writing with the set.

Both documents are tied to your order and handed over on delivery. If a covered fault appears on one chair, send photographs and we repair or replace that chair alone rather than asking for ten pieces back.

Upholstery and the hand-antiqued finish are wearing surfaces and are handled separately. We re-cover and re-finish our own furniture at any age, and the antiquing map for your set stays on file - so a replacement or additional chair is aged to exactly the same points as the original ten.

Yes. The same carving in a crisp, un-antiqued ivory or any other finish is equally available - the antiquing is a choice, not a fixed part of the design.

To a map rather than by feel. The finish is cut back only at the points a chair genuinely wears - the top of the crest, the front seat rail edge, the arm fronts and the outer front corners of the feet - and left as laid everywhere else.

Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production. Send us your room dimensions or the seating number you need and we build the top length and leg positions to suit.

Yes. The natural linen shown keeps ten chair backs quiet in a room; a stronger cloth makes them the feature. Send us your own fabric or leather, or choose from our range.
