Packing Four Pieces to Arrive as One Set

Four pieces means four separate packing problems and one shared risk: if any single item arrives marked, the set is compromised, because you cannot use three of four in a bedroom. So every piece is crated individually rather than bundled. The bed headboard travels with the pierced plume crest contour-padded so nothing bears on the cut-through carving, and the buttoned panel face-protected with no strap run across the tufting or the nailhead trim, which would dent both. The rolled footboard arms get rigid corner guards where they project.

The bench is crated on its side with its buttoned top shielded and its cabriole legs individually wrapped and braced, since slender carved legs are the most commonly broken component in furniture transit. Both side tables are boxed with drawers immobilised so they cannot slide and mark the interior or the finish. Each crate is strapped and rigid-shelled, and every white surface sits against an undyed soft-face layer that cannot transfer colour. This is deliberately more packaging than the trade uses and the cost sits with us, because the promise is the whole set arriving dent-free, scratch-free and unmarked, not most of it.
