Packaging and Transit Protection

Bright burnished gold is the least forgiving finish we ship, because any contact mark shows on an unbroken reflective surface. Every carved element - the pierced crest, both scroll arms, the apron and the feet - is individually wrapped in high-density foam shaped around the openwork, and no adhesive tape ever touches leaf; wrapping is secured to protective layers only.

Upholstery is covered in soft breathable cloth with a moisture barrier outside. Cushions are bagged separately. For multi-piece venue orders every crate is numbered against a packing schedule so identical pieces can be reconciled on arrival, and we supply reusable protective covers on request for pieces that will be moved repeatedly after delivery - which is the single most cost-effective thing a venue can do to protect gilded furniture. All crates corner-guarded, foam-blocked, marked for orientation and lifting points, photographed sealed before dispatch.

Shipping and Delivery

Every sofa is built to order. Typical lead time is 10 to 12 weeks from order confirmation for a single sofa. Multi-piece venue orders are produced as one run so gold and fabric match across every piece - tell us the full quantity at the enquiry stage rather than ordering in stages, because leaf and dye both vary between batches and a piece added later will not match on a stage where they sit side by side.

Delivery is free anywhere in India - Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and elsewhere. Our team unloads, unwraps, places and levels every piece. For venues we can deliver to a schedule around an event date; tell us the date at the order stage, since working backward from a fixed event day is very different from an open domestic timeline. Craftsmanship Assurance and Care

Our craftsmanship assurance covers the solid teak frame, its joinery and the hand-carving. If a joint works loose or a carved element separates because of a fault in the making - rather than through impact, misuse, or an attempted self-repair - we repair or replace it. For venue and hospitality orders, where handling is far heavier than domestic use, we will discuss the appropriate terms at the order stage rather than applying domestic assumptions.

Bright gold leaf shows fingerprints more than an antiqued finish does, precisely because the surface is unbroken and reflective. Clean it with a dry soft brush only - never a cloth, which burnishes through the leaf at raised edges, and never any liquid. For frequently moved pieces, lift only at the seat frame at the identified points, never by the crest or the pierced apron, which are carving rather than structure. Vacuum upholstery with a brush attachment. Blot spills immediately. Store event furniture covered and off the floor between uses, never stacked.
