This royal blue bed sets deep velvet panels into densely carved solid teak, with crystal buttons catching light across every panel. It comes as a set with two long low bedside chests carved to match.

Blue is what is shown, and the design carries strong colour well because the carving around it is so dense - deep red, emerald, wine and black all work the same way. Send us your own fabric and we will upholster in it, or tell us the shade you want and we will source options and send photographs before anything is cut.

The carved finish is open too: the warm gold-brown shown, or full gold, silver, antique bronze, ivory or natural teak tones.

Sizes are built to your room - king, queen, double or a custom width, with the headboard height set so the crest sits properly against your wall. Custom sizes are made to order and final measurements are confirmed with you in writing before production begins.

This is handcrafted Indian luxury from master Indian artisans, every flower cut by hand. Solid teak frame and joinery carry a 20-year warranty, the bed is covered for life against termite damage, and delivery anywhere in India is free with guaranteed dent-free arrival.

A scalloped silhouette is a decision about the wall, not about the bed. Square off the top of a headboard and it reads as a block set against your paint; shape it into a run of curves and the wall becomes part of the design, showing between and above the shapes. It costs more to build - every one of those curves is cut, shaped and finished on both faces - and it is the reason this bed looks lighter than its carving suggests.

The dense floral work around the panels comes from the Indian tradition of covering a ground completely, seen in inlay, in textile borders, in temple woodwork. The logic is that a fully worked surface has no empty space to look thin, so it can hold strong colour beside it without being overwhelmed.

Getting the two to agree is the craft. Our master Indian artisans cut the floral ground first and shape the upholstered panels to the openings it leaves, rather than the other way round. Fabric can be trimmed to fit carving; carving cannot be stretched to fit fabric.

Material: Solid teak throughout, including headboard, footboard, rails and the bedside chests.

Headboard: Three shaped buttoned panels - a tall centre shield and two curved side shields - with crystal studs in every button, set into dense floral scrollwork, tiered centre crest topped by a carved rosette, scalloped outline.

Footboard: Three lower shaped panels set into carved floral work, carved band along the base rail, squared corner blocks.

Upholstery: Shown in royal blue velvet, and made in any fabric and colour you choose.

Buttons: Crystal studs as shown, or fabric-covered or metal buttons.

Finish: Warm gold-brown as shown, and available in gold, silver, antique bronze, ivory or natural teak tones.

Bedside chests: Long low form with cupboard fronts, carved corners and inset panels. Included as shown, available in any quantity.

Sizes: Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

A scalloped outline has no straight edge to guard, so the headboard is packed to its own profile: shaped foam follows every curve of the silhouette, and the tiered crest and its carved rosette are given a dedicated foam shell above that.

Dense floral carving stands proud all over the frame, so packing is arranged to bear on blocks set at the highest points rather than on the flowers themselves.

The velvet panels are bagged in breathable covers - velvet marks more easily than any other upholstery - and the crystal buttons are protected from any pressure across their faces.

The footboard travels the same way, with its carved base band edge-guarded and corner blocks collared. Rails are bundled, fittings pouched, and the bedside chests packed with cupboard doors secured and carved corners protected. Everything is crated together with handling instructions. Every photograph here shows the actual bed before packing - not a render.

Delivery is free anywhere in India and included in the price you are quoted, with no freight, packing or handling charge added later.

Production starts once your size, fabric and finish are confirmed in writing. We give you a realistic timeline then and send photographs of your own bed as the floral ground is carved, the panels shaped and the velvet fitted.

On arrival the bed is carried in and assembled in your bedroom: headboard raised and joined to the rails, footboard fitted, everything levelled to your floor, the velvet checked over, and the bedside chests placed where you want them. We guarantee dent-free arrival, and if anything is not right when you see it, tell us and we will put it right.

The solid teak frame and joinery are covered for 20 years - the headboard structure carrying the tiered crest, the footboard, the side rails, the corner blocks and every joint between them. On a headboard with a scalloped outline there is no continuous top rail to brace it, so the internal framing does that work, and it is built and guaranteed for it.

A lifetime warranty against termite damage runs with it for as long as you own the bed, backed by teak's natural resistance and set out in writing.

Because every panel here is a shape rather than a rectangle, re-covering later depends on having the original patterns - and we keep the specification of your exact bed on file, so new panels are cut to the same shields and buttoned to the same grid. Crystals can be changed at the same time, the finish refreshed, and fittings replaced with parts made for your piece. Our own master Indian artisans do the work and explain it beforehand.
