This mint green bed sets pale buttoned upholstery into a white carved teak frame, with a heart-shaped panel at the centre of the headboard and crystal buttons across the footboard.

Pastel colours ask something specific of a carved bed: the frame has to be pale too, or the contrast swallows the carving. That is why this one is white rather than gold. If you want a different pastel - blush, powder blue, buttermilk, dove grey - the same white frame works with all of them, and we will send fabric photographs for approval before cutting.

Equally, if you would rather have the frame in gold, ivory, champagne or natural teak, we build it that way and suggest fabric shades that suit.

Sizes are set by your room: king, queen, double or a custom width, with headboard height adjusted to your wall. Custom sizes are made to order and final measurements are confirmed with you in writing before production begins.

This is handcrafted Indian luxury from master Indian artisans, carved and upholstered by hand. Solid teak frame and joinery carry a 20-year warranty, the bed is covered for life against termite damage, and delivery anywhere in India is free with guaranteed dent-free arrival.

Dividing a headboard into a raised centre and two lower wings is a shape borrowed from the chair back, and it is more useful on a bed than it looks. Two people sleeping side by side each lean against their own wing; the centre panel is where nobody sits, so it can be lifted forward and made into the feature without getting in anyone's way. Form following use, as most good furniture shapes do.

Making that centre a heart is a decision about warmth rather than about romance. A circle or an oval at the middle would read as formal; a heart softens the composition and gives the pierced carving above it a curved base to sit on, which is why the scrollwork resolves so easily into the crest.

Pale on pale is the harder finish to carve for, and our master Indian artisans cut deeper for it. On a white frame there is no colour contrast doing the work - only shadow - so every scroll has to be undercut far enough to cast one. Shallow carving on a white piece disappears entirely under the finish.

Material: Solid teak frame throughout, including headboard, footboard, rails and plinth.

Headboard: Heart-shaped buttoned centre panel raised forward of the frame, two buttoned side wings with scrolled ends, pierced white carved scrollwork above rising to a crest with a gilded medallion.

Footboard: Long buttoned panel with crystal studs, gilded pineapple in a carved centre cartouche, carved scrollwork with gilded rosettes to both corners, heavy carved scroll uprights on a moulded plinth.

Upholstery: Shown in soft mint green, and made in any fabric and colour you choose.

Finish: White with sparing gold detail as shown, and available in gold, ivory, champagne or natural teak tones.

Buttons: Crystal studs as shown, or fabric-covered or metal buttons.

Storage: Available with hydraulic lift-up storage or base drawers designed in.

Sizes: Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

A white finish shows every mark, so every painted surface on this bed is covered first in a soft, completely non-abrasive layer laid on without tension, and nothing slides across it at any point.

The pierced scrollwork above the headboard is foam-faced from both sides so the open sections are supported, and the gilded crest medallion is capped separately.

The raised heart panel stands forward of the frame, so it is packed with support around its edges rather than across its face, and all three buttoned panels are bagged in breathable covers.

The gilded pineapple at the footboard centre and the carved scroll uprights are each given shaped foam shells. Crystal buttons are protected from any pressure across their faces. Rails are bundled, the plinth boxed separately, fittings pouched. Everything is crated together with handling instructions. Every photograph here is of the actual bed before packing - not a render.

Delivery is free anywhere in India and included in the price you are quoted, with no freight, packing or handling charge added later.

Production begins once your size, fabric and finish are confirmed in writing. We give you a realistic timeline then and send photographs of your own bed as the scrollwork is pierced, the white finish laid and the panels upholstered.

On arrival the bed is carried in and assembled in your bedroom: plinth positioned, headboard and footboard joined to the rails, everything levelled to your floor, and the white finish and upholstery inspected and cleaned down before we leave. We guarantee dent-free arrival, and if anything is not right when you see it, tell us and we will make it right.

The solid teak frame and joinery are covered for 20 years - the headboard structure carrying three separately shaped panels, the footboard, the side rails, the plinth and every joint between them.

A lifetime warranty against termite damage runs with it for as long as the bed is yours, backed by teak's natural resistance and set out in writing.

A pale bed is one people often want freshened after some years, and both surfaces can be. The white finish is cleaned back and re-laid, and the upholstery re-covered - and because every panel here is a shape rather than a rectangle, having the original patterns matters. We keep the specification of your exact bed on file, including the heart and wing profiles and the buttoning grid, so new panels fit the carved openings precisely. Our own master Indian artisans do the work and explain it beforehand.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about this product.

Yes. Blush, powder blue, buttermilk and dove grey all work with the white frame, as does mint. Send us your own fabric or tell us the shade you want and we will source options and send photographs before cutting.

Because a pale upholstery colour needs a pale frame - against gold, a soft mint would look washed out and the carving would dominate. If you would prefer gold, ivory, champagne or natural teak, we build it that way and suggest fabrics that suit.

Two people each lean against their own wing, and the centre panel is where nobody sits - so it can be raised forward and made the feature without getting in the way. The shape follows how a bed is actually used.

Yes. Crystal studs are shown on the footboard, and we equally fit fabric-covered buttons or metal buttons in a finish of your choice.

Any size - king, queen, double, or a bed built to your own mattress and room measurements, with headboard height set to your wall. Final dimensions are confirmed with you in writing before production.

Yes. Hydraulic lift-up storage under the mattress platform or drawers in the base are engineered in from the design stage. Tell us how you plan to use the space.

Yes, on teak. Because the timber underneath barely moves through the Indian year, the finish does not crack along joints the way it does on less stable woods - and it can be cleaned back and re-laid whenever you want it refreshed.

The solid teak frame and joinery are covered for 20 years, and there is a lifetime warranty against termite damage. Delivery across India is free, with guaranteed dent-free arrival.
