This carved bed design puts its detail where it can be seen properly - a garland across the footboard, a dense crest above the headboard - and keeps the surfaces you touch soft and buttoned. It is built in solid teak, finished in champagne, and comes with two matching bedside chests.

Champagne suits this amount of relief because it is pale enough to show shadow. We also finish the same carving in gold, silver, antique bronze, ivory or natural teak tones, and the depth of highlighting in the recesses can be increased or reduced to change how strongly the carving reads.

Upholstery is any fabric and colour you choose - send us your own material, or describe what you want and we will source options and send photographs before cutting.

Sizes are built to your room: king, queen, double or a custom width, with headboard height set to your wall. Custom sizes are made to order and final measurements are confirmed with you in writing before production begins.

This is handcrafted Indian luxury from master Indian artisans. Solid teak frame and joinery carry a 20-year warranty, the bed is covered for life against termite damage, and delivery anywhere in India is free with guaranteed dent-free arrival.

Both motifs on this bed are about abundance. The cornucopia - a horn spilling fruit and flowers - has meant plenty since antiquity, and it moved onto furniture in rooms where the owner wanted the room itself to say something. The leaf-and-acorn garland says the same thing in a quieter register: an acorn is a whole tree in waiting, which is why carvers have used it on furniture meant to be inherited.

What makes a garland difficult is that it must look loose. A carved swag that is evenly spaced reads as a border; a real garland sags between its fixing points, bunches where it is gathered and thins where it hangs. Every leaf therefore sits at a slightly different angle from its neighbour, and each one is cut individually.

Our master Indian artisans carve the garland proud of the rail behind it and undercut beneath the leaves, so daylight passes between leaf and rail. That gap is what stops the garland looking pressed onto the surface - and it is the single detail that separates hand carving from moulded ornament on a piece like this.

Material: Solid teak throughout, including headboard, footboard, rails and the bedside chests.

Headboard: Wide shaped buttoned panel, dense carved crest with paired cornucopia horns, leaf and scroll work, tall carved wings sweeping to the shoulders.

Footboard: Carved leaf and acorn garland across the full width, undercut so it stands clear of the rail, curving into carved horns at the corners; buttoned panel below.

Upholstery: Shown in champagne, and made in any fabric and colour you choose.

Finish: Champagne with deeper recesses as shown, and available in gold, silver, antique bronze, ivory or natural teak tones with highlighting to your preference.

Bedside chests: Bowed carved fronts, moulded tops, turned corner columns. Included as shown, available in any quantity.

Storage: Available with hydraulic lift-up storage or base drawers designed in.

Sizes: Custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

The garland is the most exposed element on this bed and the one that decides how it is packed. Because it stands clear of the rail with daylight beneath it, packing is arranged to support it from below as well as around, so nothing can flex the leaves against their fixings.

Each carved horn at the corners is given its own foam shell, as is the cornucopia group at the centre of the headboard crest, and the tall carved wings are blocked individually.

Buttoned panels are bagged in breathable covers so the fabric arrives clean, and champagne-finished surfaces are covered in a soft non-abrasive layer beforehand, since a metallic finish marks under friction.

Rails are bundled and edge-guarded, fittings sealed in a labelled pouch, and the chests packed with drawers secured and corner columns protected. Everything is crated together with handling instructions. Every photograph on this page shows the actual bed before packing - not a render.

Delivery is free anywhere in India and included in the price you are quoted, with no freight, packing or handling charge added later.

Production begins once your size, fabric and finish are confirmed in writing. We give you a realistic timeline then and send photographs of your own bed as the garland is carved and undercut, the crest built up and the panels upholstered.

On arrival the bed is carried in and assembled in your bedroom: headboard and footboard joined to the rails, everything levelled to your floor, the carving and upholstery checked over, and the bedside chests placed where you want them. We guarantee dent-free arrival, and if anything is not right when you see it, tell us and we will put it right.

The solid teak frame and joinery are covered for 20 years - the headboard structure carrying that heavy crest, the footboard, the side rails, the feet and every joint between them. A crest with this much carved mass above the frame puts real load on the joints beneath it, and they are cut and fitted to carry it.

A lifetime warranty against termite damage runs with it for as long as the bed is yours, backed by teak's own resistance and confirmed in writing.

Undercut carving like the garland can be cleaned and refinished years from now without losing its definition, because it is cut into solid timber rather than moulded onto a surface. The champagne finish can be re-laid, the buttoned panels re-covered to the same grid from the specification we keep on file, and fittings replaced with parts made for your piece. Our own master Indian artisans do the work and explain what it involves before starting.

Everything you need to know about this product.

Because a real garland is uneven - it bunches where it is gathered and thins where it hangs. Every leaf is cut individually at its own angle, which is what makes it read as a garland rather than as a border.

Yes. Champagne is shown because it shows shadow well, and gold, silver, antique bronze, ivory and natural teak tones are all available. We can also make the highlighting in the recesses stronger or softer.
