The Story Behind This Bed
Bed sizes in India are a genuine mess, and it is worth setting out plainly because it is the single most common source of problems when people buy a bed.
There is no legally fixed standard. Indian king size is commonly around 72 by 78 inches or 72 by 72; queen size around 60 by 78 or 60 by 72; double around 48 by 75; single around 36 by 75. But manufacturers vary, and mattress makers vary independently of bed makers - which is why a mattress bought separately so often sits proud, sits short, or rattles loose in a frame.
Western sizes add another layer of confusion. A US king is 76 by 80 inches; a UK king is 60 by 78 - narrower than an Indian king. Buying an imported bed and an Indian mattress, or the reverse, is where people end up with a gap at the foot.
Our answer is simple: we do not work to a size chart. You give us the exact mattress dimensions, and we cut the internal frame to them with the correct clearance.
